사범계 교육학과의 진로 문제와 진로별 교과교육과정 (Career issues of department of education in College of Education and its’ curriculum by career)

초록

이 연구의 목적은 교육학과의 당면 과제 가운데 진로 문제에 주목해 진로 문제가 발생한 역사적 계기, 진로 분야에 대한 학계의 요구, 진로 안내의 문제점을 분석하고, 진로 문제를 해소하기 위해 몇 가지 실행 방안을 제시하는 데에 있다. 그리고 이 연구를 통해 사범계 교육학과 전공생의 진로 방향이 구체적이지 않은 상황을 극복하는 데에 기여하고자 하였다. 이 연구에서는 교육학과의 진로 문제가 발생한 계기로 83년 10월 조치를 지적하였다. 진로 분야에 대한 학계의 요구로는 주로 진로 교육과정의 다양성 확보와 특성화를 지적하였다. 그리고 교육학과 진로 안내의 문제점으로 자격증 취득 관련 진로 안내가 불충분하고, 자격증 취득 범위가 교사․평생교육사․전문상담교사에 국한되어 있고, 자격증이 없는 진로의 교과교육과정을 제시한 경우가 많지 않다는 점 등을 지적하였다. 이어, 진로 문제의 해소 방향으로 여섯 가지를 제시하였다. 첫째, 자격증이 있는 경우, 로드맵의 제시와 현장 연계 프로그램의 개발(평생교육사나 전문상담교사의 경우), 복수전공제나 연계전공제의 적극적 활용(교사의 경우), 자격증 취득 범위의 확대 필요성이다. 둘째, 자격증이 없는 경우, 진로별 교육과정의 다양화와 특성화와 피드백 시스템의 필요성이다. 셋째, 교과교육과정에 진로 분야를 담을 수 없는 경우, 진로 관련 ‘비교과 프로그램’의 활성화이다. 넷째, 진로별 교육과정과 비교과 프로그램의 개발에 따른 로드맵의 필요성이다. 다섯째, 진로 교육과정과 로드맵의 정보의 공유이다. 정보 공유 시점으로는 2학년 전후 학기가 적절하다고 지적하였다. 여섯째, 진로 개척을 위한 공동체 문화의 조성이다. 앞으로 교육학과 전공생의 진로가 불투명한 상황이 지속될수록 학과 차원에서 다양한 진로 분야를 안내하고, 주요 진로별 교육과정과 로드맵의 마련해 학생과 공유하고, 나아가 진로 탐색을 위한 공동체 문화를 조성해야 하는 상황은 피하기 어려울 것으로 보인다. 이러한 상황에서 이 연구가 교육학과 전공생의 진로 문제를 해소하는 데에 조금이나마 기여하기를 기대한다.

영어초록

The purpose of this research is to analyze department of education’s career problems, cause of career problems, demands of academic circles for field of career and find way to suggest solutions for career problems. Through this study we tried to find feasible way to overcome unclear situation of career path of department of education major students. In this study, we pointed out the origins of career problems that originated from the October, 1983 act. Securing diverse career related curriculum and characterization of curriculum was pointed out as demands from academic circles for the career field. The problems of career guidance from the department of education were the followings; improper career guidance for acquiring certification, limited scope of obtaining certification such as teacher, life-long educator and counselor and not enough guidance for uncertified career path. We suggested six following solutions for the career problems for department of education; 1. for the certification related case, needs of presenting concrete road-map for career path and developing field related program was proposed (this is for life-long educator and counselor course), use of double major or linked major (for teaching certification course), and needs of expanding scope of certification acquisition. 2. for the non-certified case, diversification and characterization of each career path and needs of feedback system was introduced. 3. in case that formal curriculum can not take the career field, activation of extra curriculum program was suggested. 4. needs of road-map for each career path curriculum and development of extra curriculum program. 5. sharing career guidance curriculum and road-map information. 6. creating department based community culture for career development was proposed. As the unclear situation of continues for education major students’ career path, guiding diverse career field, providing curriculum for each career path and road-map will be necessary. Furthermore, it will be necessary for creating community culture for searching career. Hopefully, this study will be a little help for contribution of the education major students’ career problems.
