「嶺南樓重修記」의 結構와 그 特性 -1851년경의 安氏 작품을 중심으로- (Construction and Characteristics of the Repairing Record of Yeong-Nam Pavilion -Mainly focused on Mr. Ahn’s work in about 1851-)

초록

Since Yeong-Nam Pavilion was repaired several times, record of Yeong-Nam Pavilion has written 12 times. Among them, the repairing record of Yeong-Nam Pavilion was written by Mr. Ahn in about 1851 and has shown the final features of Yeong-Nam Pavilion. It had somewhat different aspects from the record of Yeong-Nam Pavilion in 19C and had new contents compared to other records. So this work paid attention to this and investigated four sections of construction and characteristics of repairing record of Yeong-Nam Pavilion comparing to former records of Yeong-Nam Pavilion. The results were as follows.
The first paragraph was about the history of Yeong-Nam Pavilion. The former records of Yeong-Nam Pavilion arranged history in the middle or latter half which admiring repairman’s feat to raise the justice of repairing Yeong-Nam Pavilion. But in this record, history was arranged in the first part of it. It never happened before. Four times of repairing history of Yeong-Nam Pavilion made sure that it preserved Yeong-Nam Pavilion and its circum -ference for a long time. And also it showed the comparison between ups and downs of men and immutability of Yeong-Nam Pavilion.
The second paragraph was about the landscape of Yeong-Nam Pavilion. In the former records the landscape of Yeong-Nam Pavilion was short or omitted. But in this record the landscapes were described particularly. In this paragraph, Yeong-Nam Pavilion was considered to control the neighboring landscape and Mt. Mubong which Yeong-Nam Pavilion located in was regarded a range of Mt. Taebaek. This kind of viewpoint about our territory was important. This showed recognition of equality between Chosun and China, it was Chosun’s literary men’s idea of independent and subjective attitude to recover the ancient territory.
The third paragraph was about the beautiful scenery of Yeong-Nam Pavilion. Successive generations of civil ministers, military officials, Buddhist monks, dutiful sons and faithful women in Miryang were enumerated. These names were strange in the repairing record of Yeong-Nam Pavilion and it was odd that these people were regarded as Yeong-Nam Pavilion’s beautiful scenery. Perhaps the writer expected that repairing of Yeong-Nam Pavilion made Miryang full of men of ability so he assumed to raise an issue of famous people in Miryang. By setting up these men of ability as Yeong-Nam Pavilion’s beautiful scenery he tried to make different impression.
The fourth paragraph was mainly focused on Yeong-Nam Pavilion’s prosperity and decline, relationship between people and spirits of landscape. Discussion was mainly about the relationship between people and time, people who were under the influence of time, a progressive spirit which tried to pioneer an era and surpass the destiny. The writer changed passive relationship into active one that people could lead an era and showed somewhat different recognition from the former times. This was new recognition and was effective to obtain a goal about writing of strong personality.
It was very special and strange that the record of Yeong-Nam Pavilion dealt with men of ability in Miryang. The writer who were from Miryang was assumed to pray his hometown would famous. It must be unique that the record of Yeong-Nam Pavilion dealt with ups and downs of the spirit of Yeong-Nam Pavilion’s scenery, Yeong-Nam Pavilion and men of ability in Miryang in heaven and human’s harmony based on cosmology. These characteristics certainly the manifestation of strong personality to realize its own value of writing of the records in 19C literarture.
