In 15th century, there was an ancient civilization called Aztec on the land that we now called Mexico. The Aztec empire flourished for more than two hundred years, but it took less than three years to be destroyed by a man named Hernan Cortes. Although he arrived at Yucatan Peninsula in April, 1519 with only 9 ships and 500 soldiers, He conquered the Aztec empire within 3 years. How could he possibly conquer this huge empire in such a short time?
There are many factors that helped Cortes’ conquer of the empire. First of all, Cortes used very clever strategy.
