본문내용
There is a Korean proverb which says “1000 nyang debt is paid by a word.” On the other hand, Japaneses have a saying, “Although the tongue is only 3 inches, it can kill a man six feet tall.” Even if the tongue is small, it makes that people can feel like they are floating on air or people get bogged down. Nowadays many celebrities not only have severe depressions but also even commit suicide by malicious comments to the Internet. As the bad effect of the tongue is no less serious than physical assault, the attorney general Kim Kyung-han suggests we enact the contempt of cyberspace which punishes the man who writes comments on the defamation of character. However it may be asked whether it is necessary to establish the new law.
I’m all for eradicating malicious comments which can be a sword wound to heart, but I arrayed myself against making the contempt of cyberspace to halt the problem for several reasons. First, there are instances where insulation can’t judge fairly by law which is objective criterion, because insulation is relative emotion differently accepted according to individual perspective or interest
