Old days, people regarded cohabitation before marriage was very bad. However time has been changed, there is no reason for us to be against toward cohabitation. I believe we have to respect one’s free idea. Modern society is egotistic society. It is old fashion that one’s parents arrange one’s marriage. We do not have to oppose cohabitation if a person can make decision carefully through cohabitation respecting an importance of individual’s idea rather than family’s. There is no reason to prevent cohabitation if two people want to live together rather than binding each other with marriage which is a legal system. In a word, it is one’s freedom. But virginity has been taken to be important in Korea. So many people speak against premarital cohabitation. Although some people think that living together before marriage has some disadvantages, I believe that it still has some advantages.
