팬픽(fanfic)의 기호학적 분석 - 소녀들의 성적 정체성 구성을 중심으로 (A Semiotic Study on the Fanfics-Focusing on the girls' sexual identity)

초록

A fanfic is a story which is written and read by young girls, who have given themselves up to stars. Fanfics include homosexuality between the fellow stars. The contents of the stories have an effect on the reader's sexual identity. This paper researches the process of the idendity constitution. In the concrete, the object of this paper, is fancfic narratives which deal with a male dance group, Dongbangsingy members' love.
The characters in fanfic narratives are divided into two type, one is a top and the other is a bottom. The two concept is vary important because they are discovered almost every content level in the stories. They are not intimate except the ending part. In spite of their emotional gap, they have so frequent sexual relations that the sexual level is most core level in the narratives.
This paper studies the configuration of character in the fanfic narratives putting emphasis on the focalization. In the story, the subject of acts is a 'top' but the object of focus is a 'bottom'. For this reason, the top's inner life forms the narrative's mystery parts. Most of fanfics, the bottom as a mediator of narrative tells his concrete conditions and mental agony. But the top's conditions and inner world is focalized under the necessary. The distance between the reader and the bottom is closer than that of top.
It is very important in the fanfics, who is the position, with whom the reader identify herself. The young readers are expected to form her sexual identity from the imitation. The object of imitation is likely the attitude of bottom. If the readers identify herself with the bottom, the identity which the reader forms has double aspects. One is pure, the other sensual. This paper study the process which the reader's sexual identity forms. This paper focuses on if their attitude toward the 'homosexulity' affect real society or not.
