전래동화와 누리과정을 이용한 국악수업 지도안 - ‘문화가 있는 날–동동동 문화놀이터’ 사례 중심으로 - (Lesson Plans on Korean Traditional Music using the Traditional Fairy Tale and Nuri Curriculum - Focus on the case of cultural events on the Culture Day: Dong - Dong - Dong culture playground -)

초록

본자는 2015년 문화융성위원회와 문화체육관광부가 주최하고 한국문화예술회관연합회가 주관하는 ‘문화가 있는 날–동동동 문화놀이터’ 사업에서 민간예술단체 우수 어린이프로그램 에 선정된 ‘청개구리야놀자!!'의 프로그램을 기획하여 약 822명의 3세에서 5세까지 아동들을 대상으로 보육 및 교육시설에서교육을 하였다. 그 프로그램은 전래동화와 누리과정을 이용한 국악수업으로 전래동화를 통한 인성교육과누리과정의 5가지 영역을 접목시켜 유아의 심신 건강과 조화로운 발달을 목적으로 하는 국악교육이다.
전래동화는 우리 고유의 정서와 문화가 있어 국악과 함께 전통문화를 보존하고 계승시킬 수 있는 좋은교육 자료이다. 누리과정은 생애 초기 출발점 평등을 보장하는 교육으로 유아기 단계에서 교육의 질을제고한다. 하지만 2012년부터 공통으로 시행된 누리과정과 국악교육에 연관된 연구는 미비한 실정이다.
본고에서는 전래동화와 누리과정의 5가지 영역을 모두 이용한 교수학습 방안과 지도안을 제시하였다. 전래동화와 누리과정을 이용한 국악교육 교수학습 방안은 다음과 같다. 전래동화의 감상과 말리듬 창작을통해 의사소통의 영역을 넓히고, 전래동화의 주인공이나 주변 인물을 몸으로 표현하며 다른 사람과 함께하는 신체 활동 영역에 참여한다. 사회 영역은 나에 대해 관심을 갖고, 전래동화의 등장인물과 자신의차이를 알아보고, 이야기에 나오는 우리나라의 전통, 역사, 문화, 음악 등에 관심을 갖는다. 나아가 우리나라를 상징하는 것을 배우며 우리나라에 관심을 갖고 이해한다. 예술경험 영역은 전래동화와 연관된 국악기, 판소리, 전래동요, 창작동요, 한삼춤, 부채춤 등의 체험을 통해 전통예술을 접하고 아름다움을 찾는다. 자연탐구 영역에서는 전래동화에 등장하는 생명체, 날씨, 기후변화 등 자연 현상에 관심을 갖고 과학적으로 탐구하며, 이야기 순서를 맞추기를 통해 규칙성을 이해하며 수학적 탐구를 한다. 이를 바탕으로 하여 ‘청개구리야 놀자!!’, ‘우리나라의 보물 만파식적’, ‘동물 이야기 토끼와 자라’의 지도안을 제시하였다. 그 결과 첫 번째 ‘청개구리야 놀자!!’는 전래동화 『청개구리』를 주제로 하여 가족의 의미와 소중함의교훈을 주고, 전래동요나 창작국악동요, 국악기, 한삼 등을 체험하는 지도안을 제시하였다. 두 번째 ‘우리나라의 보물 만파식적’은 전래동화 『만파식적』을 주제로 하여 화목과 어울림의 교훈을 주고, 국악기와 부채춤을 체험 할 수 있는 지도안을 제시하였다. 세 번째 ‘동물 이야기 토끼와 자라’는 전래동화 『토끼와자라』를 주제로 하여, 충성스럽지만 미련한 자라와 어려움 속에서도 지혜를 내는 토끼를 통해 교훈을 배우고, 판소리 감상 및 체험 할 수 있는 지도안을 제시하였다. 본고의 교수학습 방안과 지도안을 통해 다양한국악 교육의 교수 학습 방법이 소개되고 개발되어 생애 초기 평등한 출발점에서 많은 유아들이 교육을받고, 우리 민족문화가 계속 보존되고 계승되기를 바란다.

영어초록

「Tree Frog! Let's Play」, a program planned by this author, was selected as the excellent children's program by a private arts group as a part of the Dong-Dong-Dong culture playground project in the Culture Day sponsored by the Presidential Committee for Cultural Enrichment and Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and supported by the Korean Cultural & Arts Centers Association in 2015. The program was used for the education for 822 children aged between three and five in child care and educational facilities.
Besides, this program as a lesson for korean traditional music using the korean fairy tales and Nuri curriculum is an education for children's physical and mental health and harmonious development combining personality education through the traditional fairy tales with five areas of Nuri curriculum. The traditional fairy tale containing our own unique emotions and cultures is an excellent educational material that can preserve and inherit the traditional culture as well as Korean traditional music. The Nuri curriculum, which is an education that guarantees equality at the stating point in early life, improves the quality of education in the babyhood stage. However, it is considered that studies related to the Nuri curriculum and Korean traditional music education which were conducted in common from 2012 are insufficient. In this paper, we suggested teaching-learning methods and lesson plans on the Korean traditional music using both korean traditional fairy tales and five areas of Nuri curriculum.
The teaching-learning method for the Korean traditional music using traditional fairy tales and five areas of Nuri curriculum is as follows. It is to expand of the scope of communication by appreciating the traditional fairy tales and creating rhythms of speech, and participate in the physical activity area with others by expressing main or minor characters in the traditional fairy tale using body. In the social area, it is to have an interest in oneself as well as several contents including our tradition, history, culture and music in the story, and to recognize differences between a character in the traditional fairy tale and oneself. Children can understand and have interests in our country by learning diverse materials representing our country. In the artistic experience area, children can contact traditional arts and find its beauty by experiencing traditional Korean musical instruments, pansori, traditional children's songs, creative children's songs, hansam dance and fan dance.
In the natural science area, children can be interested in natural phenomenon such as creatures, weather, and climate change in the traditional fairy tale, and carry out scientific inquiry. Furthermore, children can understand regularity by matching up story sequence and carry out mathematical inquiry. Based on this, lesson plans for the 「Tree Frog! Let's Play」, 「the national treasury, Manpasikjeok」 and 「the animal story, Rabbit and Turtle」 were suggested. Firstly, 「Tree Frog! Let's Play」, a tree frog-themed story, gives a lesson about the significance and importance of family. The lesson plan on experience of traditional children's songs, creative korean classical children's songs, traditional Korean musical instruments and hansam dance was suggested. Secondly, 「the national treasury, Manpasikjeok」, which is a legendary tale about a magical wind instrument, teaches a lesson about harmony and consonance. The lesson plan for the story that can experience traditional Korean musical instruments and fan dance was suggested. Thirdly, children can learn a lesson from the slow and steady turtle and wise rabbit in the story of 「Rabbit and Turtle」.
The lesson plan related to the appreciation and experience of pansori was suggested for children. We expect that a diverse of teaching-learning methods for Korea traditional music will be introduced and developed based on teaching-learning methods and lesson plans suggested in this paper, and used for the education of children at the equal staring point in early life. Consequently, we expect that our national culture will be continued to be preserve and succeeded.
