박완서의 자서전적 글쓰기 서사 전략과 그 탈식민주의 의미 - <<그 남자네 집>>을 중심으로 - (The Narrative Strategy of Park Wan-Seo’s Autobiographical Writing and It’s postcolonial meaning - Focusing on the <>)

초록

박완서는 오랜 세월동안 이 땅의 서사를 여성적 글쓰기로써 우리에게 전하려 했다. 박완서는 「미망」, 「나목」, 「엄마의 말뚝」, 「도시의 흉년」, 「그 많던 싱아는 누가 다 먹었을까」와 「그 산이 정말 거기 있었을까」등의 작품으로 여성의 주변부 서사를 전함으로써 기존 중심부 서사 속에 그 시대를 겪어 온 수 많은 여성의 목소리도 포함되어야 진정한 역사임을 강조해 왔다.
이 논문의 목적은 박완서라는 여성주체작가가 역사적 글쓰기를 함에 있어 사용한 서사전략인 자서전적 글쓰기의 의미작용을 확인해 보는 데에 있다. 박완서 작가가 활동한 초기에는 여성작가의 위치가 그리 탄탄하지 못했다. 그런 상황에서 그녀는 여성의 목소리로 남성의 역사적 글쓰기가 포착하지 못한 틈새를 메워 나가기 시작하였다고 평가받고 있다. 이 논문에서는 그녀가 여성 작가로서 남성 중심의 역사를 자서전적 글쓰기로 다시 쓰고자 하는 전략과 그 의미과정을 살펴봄으로써, 남성 지배 중심의 역사화를 극복하는 저항성을 확인할 수 있을 것이라고 전제한다.
박완서가 <<그 남자네 집>>에서 사용한 소수자만이 이용할 수 있는 감각의 대항성은 기존의 글쓰기의 내용에 균열을 내고 미처 재현되지 못한 역사의 장을 기록으로 승화한다. 그리고 여성만이 기술할 수 있는 영역을 서사화하고 기억 속의 감각을 여성만의 몸과 집의 공간으로 전유함으로써 극복한다.
여성의 자서전적 글쓰기는 중심부 서사에 대한 대항실천으로서 기능하고 있는데 이 서술의 작동원리에 기억의 감각이 관여한다. 박완서는 서사와 자서전적 서사라는 경계 위에서 전쟁의 주변부를 서사화하면서 기억이라는 행위를 통해 역사를 소환한다. 그리고 과거의 집과 그곳에 있었던 자신을 들여다보면서 현재와 과거가 만나는 혼종의 시간을 기억을 다시 쓰는 서사 속에서 완성한다. 이때 체현되는 미각이라는 감각은 굶주림의 전쟁 속에서도 살아 있는 생존의 주체를 재현하는 데에 기여함으로써 새로운 저항성을 함의하게 된다.

영어초록

Park Wan-Seo tries to tell us her femininity and time in the country for many years, that is to say the time from 1950. She is a writer who emphasizes that history should include a lot of women’s voices who went through the time in the existing central narrative as delivering women’s periphery narrative constantly with 「Mi-Mang」. 「A bare tree」, 「Mother’s Post」, 「A Leanly year of city」, 「Who ate all the singas?」 and 「Were That Mountain Were There Really?」.
The purpose of this paper is to identify narrative strategies which female subject writer Park Wan-Seo used in historical writing. At the beginning Park Wan-Seo has acted, female writer’s position was not strong. It’s been evaluated that in such situations, she has filled a gap which male writers did not grasp with female voice. In this paper, as investigating strategies used in narrative of the male-centered history as a female writer and the process of the meaning, it premises to identify resistance to overcome male domination-centered historicizing.
The initial criticism on Park Wan-Seo can be seen to remain in somewhat narrow assessment located only in a small area of the female writer in male-centered literary world. The title of female writer attached before writer Park Wan-Seo’s name proves this. Sensory’s resistance that only minorities can use which Park Wan-Seo used in <The man’s house> makes it sublimated a historical chapter to crack out the contents of the existing writing and not to be produced. And, she escapes the restricted area of having the title of the female writer with oxymoron. In other words, this is because of expressing fictionality of the history that women are excluded as making the area which only women can have narrative.
A way that women existed as peripheral minorities challenge the center is to tell and write to the world. Women have a duty to inform information and ideas about female sexuality. What women write is to describe the time passed, the time passing, which means to write history. The reason why Park Wan-Seo tells her voice at the second half in the stages of her work world can be seen here. Female autobiographical writing can function as resistance practice about the central narrative and memories are involved in the operating principles of this description. Park Wan-Seo recalls history through the act of remembering as making the periphery of war descriptive on the boundary between the narrative and autobiographical narrative. While looking through the house of the past and oneself there, The hybrid time meeting the current and the past is completed in the narrative. The taste embodied implies new resistance as reproducing living survival subjects in the war with hunger.
