성동구내 어린이집 원아 부모의 소아 한방치료에 대한 인식 및 이용에 관한 조사 연구 (A Survey on Parent's Recognition and Utilization Patterns of Oriental Medical Care of Preschool Students in Seong-Dong district)

초록

목적성동구내 어린이집 어린이의 한방 진료 실태 및 인식에 대해 알아본다.
방법총 802명의 성동구내 어린이집 원아 부모를 대상으로 한방 진료 실태 및 인식에 관해 설문조사하였으며, 그 중 792부를 분석하였다.
결과1. 한방 진료 경험이 있는 경우는 38.33%, 최초 한방 진료를 받은 나이는 12~24개월 미만이 가장 많았다. 대부분이 주로 한의원에서 진료를 받았으며, 의료기관을 택한 이유로는 주변의 권유가 가장 많았고, 한방진료를 받은 이유로 양방진료도 하면서 한방진료도 같이 받고 싶어서가 가장 많았다.
2. 한방 진료에 대한 만족도는 53.85%가 만족한 편이었으며, 만족 이유로 치료 효과를 보아서가 가장 높았다.
3. 아이의 질환에 대해 특정 한방기관을 이용하는 경우가 49.56%였고, 주로 한의원을 특정한방기관으로 이용하였으며, 그 곳의 명성과 신뢰 때문에 이용한 경우가 많았다.
4. 2009년 1년간 한방의료기관에서 진료 경험이 있는 경우는 55.26%였으며, 진료 받은 질병으로 영아기는 호흡기증상, 전신증상, 소화기증상, 피부증상, 신경·정신 순이었으며, 유아기는 호흡기증상, 소화기증상, 전신증상, 피부증상, 신경·정신증상, 비뇨기 증상, 근골격 증상 순이었다.
4. 아이의 한방 진료시 한가지 질병의 평균 치료 기간은 7~14일, 선호 치료 기간은 4~6일이었으며, 선호 방문 진료 횟수는 주 1회, 선호 요일로는 토요일, 선호 야간진료 요일로는 금요일이 높게 나타났고, 1회 방문시 평균 지불비용으로는 1만원 미만, 선호 평균 지불 비용으로 1만원 미만이 높게 나타났다.
5. 아이가 아플 때 가장 먼저 찾는 의료기관으로는 양방병원, 양방의원, 약국, 한의원, 보건소, 한방병원 순이었고, 한방진료시 걱정되는 점으로는 한약의 농약이나 중금속 등의 유해물질이 걱정된다가 높게 나왔으며, 한약의 선호제형으로는 끓인 형태가, 한약 복용시 어려운 점으로는 한약 맛이 쓰다가, 선호 1일 복용 한약 횟수로 2회, 1회 복용 용량은 10cc이상~20cc미만이 가장 높게 나타났다.


결론위 결과로 볼 때, 한방 소아과에 대한 부모들의 인식 확대가 필요할 것으로 보인다.

Objective The purpose of this study is to examine the parental recognition and utilizing patterns of oriental medical care in children who live in Seong-Dong district

Methods 802 day-care center children's parents participated in the survey on recognition and utilizing patterns of oriental medical care, and 702 of the surveys were analyzed.


Results 1. 38.33% has received previous oriental medical treatments and most were received at the children's age under 12-24 months. Majority of the treatments took place in the clinical settings. By recommendation, some also received their treatment at the medical centers. One of the reasons why they receive oriental medical treatments was that they prefer to balance their treatment with the orental medical treatments along with the western's.
2. 53.85% of those who received oriental medical treatments were satisfied with their treatments. The effective treatment results were the major reason for the satisfaction.
3. 49.56% of those who had oriental medical treatments chose specific oriental medical facilities for the children's ailment. Most specific oriental medical facilities were local oriental medical clinics. Reputation fame were the main reason in choosing the clinics.
4. In 2009, 55.26% had received care in the specific oriental medical clinics for the diseases, such as respiratory symptoms, systemic symptoms, gastrointestinal symptoms, skin problems, neurological and psychiatric disease for infants, and respiratory symptoms, gastrointestinal symptoms, systemic symptoms, skin problems, neurological and psychiatric symptoms, urinary symptoms and musculoskeletal symptoms for toddlers.
5. The average duration of herbal treatment were 7-14 days, preferably 4-6 days, and preferred number of medical visits were once a week on Saturdays and preferred day for night cares were on Friday nights. Average treatment fee per treatment was less than 10,000 won which coincided with the preferred treatment fee per visit.
6. The very first medical institutions chosen by parents once their children are ill are the following; Western medical institutions, western medical clinics, pharmacies, oriental medical clinics, health centers, and lastly, oriental medical institutions. The major concerns in receiving oriental medical cares include pesticides in herbs and hazardous substances in heavy metals. Preferred form of oriental medicine was decoction, the negative feedback of oriental medicine was mostly due to the bitter taste of the oriental herbal decoctions. Preferred frequency of intake was twice a day with less than 10cc~20cc per single intake.


Conclusion Taken all together, we conclude that the growing recognition of Oriental Pediatric medicine is needed among parents.
