초록

이 글은 1682년 통신사 필담창화집인 『和韓唱酬集』의 형성배경과 형식·내용상의 특징 및 양국 문화교류의 구체적 양상 등을 살폈다.
첫째, 『和韓唱酬集』의 형성배경이다. 임술통신사로 일본에 파견된 조선의 문사들은 뛰어난 문화역량을 바탕으로 필담과 창화를 통해 일본의 문사들과 교류했고, 그 결과 수많은 필담창화집이 산출되었다. 京都의 출판사 丁子屋은 일본 독자층의 요구에 따라 이들 개인 필담창화집을 전국에서 모아 1683년 『和韓唱酬集』으로 출간했다.
둘째, 『和韓唱酬集』의 형식과 내용상의 특징이다. 『和韓唱酬集』은 시문과 필담 및 편지 등으로 구성되어 있지만, 필담창화집을 남긴 인물들을 중심으로 편집되어 수록의 원칙이 불분명하고 일관성이 없는 것이 특징이다. 그리고 내용상으로는 당시 양국 문사의 교류에 많은 제약이 있었음을 보여주고, 일본인이 본 통신사의 禮式이나 일본 문사 사이의 교류도 잘 반영하고 있는 것이 특징이다.
셋째, 『和韓唱酬集』에 반영된 양국 문화교류의 양상이다. 크게 시문창화와 필담으로 나누어지는데, 조선의 문사들은 어린 소년을 비롯해 혈연·학연 관계에 있던 문사 및 승려들과 시문으로 교류했다. 또 시문을 증여하고 문집의 서발이나 누각의 현판 글씨를 써주는 등 여러 방면에서 우호적인 교류가 이루어졌다. 하지만 「東使紀事」에는 조선에 대한 폄하와 자국 우월주의가 극명하게 드러나는 등 비판의식도 드러난다. 필담과 편지에서는 소소한 관심사의 교환에서부터 문학·의학·박물학 등에 대한 구체적인 논의가 이루어지기도 했다.
이처럼 『和韓唱酬集』은 임술통신사(1682)를 통해 이루어진 양국 문사들의 교류양상을 구체적으로 잘 반영하고 있음은 물론, 17세기 이후 문학을 비롯한 일본 문화계의 전반적인 성장을 엿볼 수 있다는 점에서 문화교류사적 의의도 지닌다.

This paper examines the background of formation, the characteristics of the form and content, and the specific aspects of cultural exchange between Joseon and Japan of Hwahanchangsoojip(和韓唱酬集), in the 1682 Tongshinsa's collection of written conversations and poems.
First, it is the background of formation of Hwahanchangsoojip. The Korean literary men sent to Japan as Imsul-Tongshinsa exchanged with Japanese literary men through exchange poems and written conversations based on their excellent cultural capabilities. As a result, a number of collection of written conversations and poems were produced. In response to the demands of Japanese readers, the Kyoto publishing company Jeongjaok collected these personal collection of written conversations and poems collect from all over the country and published a Hwahanchangsoojip in 1683.
Second, it is the characteristics of the form and content of the Hwahanchangsoojip. That is composed of poems, written conversations, and letters. However, since it is edited around the characters, the principle of recording is unclear and inconsistent. In terms of content, it shows that there were many restrictions on the exchange of literary men between the two countries at the time, and it is characterized by well reflecting the ceremony of the Tongshinsa and the exchange between Japanese literary men.
Third, it is the aspect of cultural exchange between the two countries reflected in the Hwahanchangsoojip. It is largely divided into exchange poems and written conversations. The literary men of Joseon exchanged poetry with literary men and monks who had blood or academic relations, including young boys. In addition, friendly exchanges took place in various fields, such as offering poetry and writing the letters on the signs of the house and pavilion. However, a sense of criticism is also revealed, such as the disregard for Joseon and the dominance of the country. In exchange poems and written conversations. detailed discussions on literature, medicine, and natural history, as well as minor exchanges of interests, took place.
As such, the Hwahanchangsoojip reflects the pattern of exchanges between the literary people of both countries through Imsul-Tongshinsa(1682). In addition, the Hwahanchangsoojip has a historical significance for cultural exchange in that it can glimpse the overall growth of the Japanese cultural world including literature since the 17th century.
