승마 참여 성인남녀의 낙마경험 인식에 관한 질적 연구 (Qualitative Research of Adult’s Purler Experience among Horse-riding)

초록

This study attempts to find psychological factors that make adlut men and women who participate in hors e riding continue or stop horse riding after experiencing a purlre from a horse during horse riding and injur y because of the fall. To achieve the goal of this study, an in-edpth understanding and analysis of behaviora l patterns or psychology derived from the experiences of research participants were required. So, the study approached with a qualitative research method through in-depth interviews instead of qualitative research. As a result of an analysis on the factors for the discontinuation o hforse riding with the participants who quit horse riding after a fall from a horse through in-depth interviews, it turned out that there were broadly three factors.
The physical pain and the burden of the inconvenience they sueffred because of fear and injury from thei r experience of the difficulty in coping with or controlling an nuexpected situation during a horse riding, were common psychological factors of their discontinuing horse riding. A large number of research participants were suffering. Also they quit because they could replace horse riding with other sports. The results of an analysis on the factors of the continuing horse riding after a fall from a horse with the research participants are summarized as follows. First, they perceive that even if they get injured because of a fall from a horse, the pain or inconvenience is not great, and in fact, the average period of their treatment is shorter than the research participants who stopped riding horse. Second, different from participants who quit horse riding, they recognize that they may experience a fall from a horse before the fall from a horse and are psychologically ready for such experience. The data collected through in-depth interviews with the research participants and the results of the study will be used as basic materials for the maintenanec of the participating population in horse riding, through comparing and analyzing the reasons for stopping ohrse riding because of the fall from a hors e and the continuation. It will also be used for the maintenance of the population that participates in horse riding.
Furthermore, it is judged that the data will be used as basic materials for the popularization of horse riding.
