魏志倭人伝に見られる「狗古智卑狗」の「狗」の訓み -表記の視点から- (The "ku(狗)" sound of "kukotihiko(狗古智卑狗)" found in Gisiwajinden -from the perspective of notation-)

초록

三世紀の日本に関する記録でありながら当時の日本語を窺わせる貴重な史料である『倭人伝』に狗奴国の官名として「狗古智卑狗」が確認できる。この「狗」は[クku]と[コko]の音価を表している。このように同字が異なる音価を表している現像を本稿では考察してみた。
　日韓中およびベトナム漢字音から「狗」字は[ku]の音価を表すことが分かる。次に実際、各資料での用例をみると、倭人伝([クku／コko])、東夷伝([クku])、古代日本・韓国資料では主に訓字として用いられている。そして、倭人伝で「狗」と同じ音価([ku/ko])を表わしている「古」を取り上げて考察した。
　日韓中の資料を中心にして異表記(「狗奚国：古奚津：舊溪所」、「都我能奇：刀我乃樹」､「久素：仇首：貴首：貴湏」､「伯固：伯句」など)を考察した結果、異表記が可能になったのはその調音方法や調音点、母音の近接にあると考えられる。いずれも母音が介音の有無による一等字(あるいは二等字)か三等字で、ともにやや後舌の性格をもつ母音[u：o]であった。
　そして、普通[クku]として用いる「狗」が倭人伝で[コko]の音価を表わしている箇所は悉く「彦(ヒコhiko)」の意味だった。同じ意味の語の音仮名表記が中国と日本で異なるが、「卑狗：比跪/比古」の対応関係がうかがえた。
　以上、日韓中の資料における異表記を通して倭人伝で「狗」が異なる音価を表すことについて考察した。上で触れたように「狗・古」の音価はそれぞれ[ク・コ]だが、異表記などを通して対応関係ができるということが分かった。つまり、音韻的な面でも語彙的な面でも「狗：古」は異表記が可能ということが分かった。

"Gisiwajinden" is a record of Japan in the third century and is a valuable historical material that shows the Japanese language of that time. Among them, 'kukotihiko(狗古智卑狗)' can be identified as the official name of kunakoku(狗奴国). This "ku(狗)" represents the phonetic values of [ku] and [ko]. In this article, we examined the development in which the same characters represent different phonetic values.
From the Japanese, Korean, Chinaese and Vietnamese kanji sound, it can be seen that the word "ku(狗)" represents the phonetic value of [ku]. Next, if you look at the examples in each document, the "Wajinden" is [ku/ko]) and the "Touiden" is [ku]. And in ancient Japanese and Korean documents, it is mainly used as a kunji. Then, in the "Wajinden", '[ku/ko](古)', which represents the same phonetic value as '[ku/ko](狗)', was taken up and examined.
As a result of examining the different notation focusing on data from Japanese, Korean and Chinaese ("kugaikoku(狗奚国)：kogainotu(古奚津): kugyeso(舊溪所)", "tuganoki(都我能奇): toganoki(刀我乃樹)", and so on), it is thought that the difference in notation is possible in the proximity of the articulation method, the articulation point, and the vowel. Both vowels were first (or second) or third, depending on the presence or absence of an avowel in the middle, and both were vowels [u:o] with the character of the hind tongue.
And all the parts where 'ku(狗)' which is usually used as [ku] represented the phonetic value of [ko] in Wajinden meant 'hiko(ヒコ)'. The phonetic kana-notation of words with the same meaning is different between China and Japan, but we could see the correspondence between "hiko(卑狗): hiko(比跪/比古)."
Above, we examined the phonetic value of Wajinden "ku狗" through different notation found in Japanese, Korean, and Chinese documents. As mentioned above, the phonetic value of "ku(狗), ko(古)" is [gu Ko], respectively, but it was found that correspondence can be made through different notation. In other words, it was found that "ku(狗):ko(古)" can be written differently in both phonological and lexical aspects.
