중부지방 원삼국 초기 토기문화의 계통 (The Genealogy of Earthenware Culture in the Central Region during the Early Period of the Proto-Three Kingdoms)

초록

이 글은 중부지방 원삼국 초기 토기의 계통과 사용 집단의 성격을 살펴보기 위해 작성되었다. 먼저 중부지방 원삼국 초기 토기의 원류 및 기원지로 지목되고 있는 북한지역을 서북한지방, 압록강 중상류지역, 동북한지방으로 구분하여 청동기 후기∼원삼국 초기의 토기문화의 변천과정을 살펴보았다. 점토대토기와 타날문토기는 서북한지방과 압록강 중상류지역에 한정되어 출토되며, 기원전 1세기 무렵에는 동북한 북부지역을제외하고 전역으로 확대된다. 특히 대동강유역의 화분형토기는 동북한 남부지역(함흥 일대)에서 확인되지만, 인접한 서북한 북부지역(청천강 이북지역)에서 출토되지 않는 점이 주목된다.
중부지방 원삼국 초기의 토기는 기술유형과 계보가 다른 삼각형점토대토기, 화분형토기, 경질무문토기가 출토된다. 삼각형점토대토기는 원형점토대토기에서 계기적으로 변화한 것이고, 화분형토기는 기원전 1세기무렵에 서북한 남부지역에서 남하한 것으로 보았다. 경질무문토기는 크게 두 가지 계보 관계로 정리되는데, 서해안지역의 경질무문토기는 삼각형점토대토기가 홑구연화 과정에서 등장한 것이지만 영서·영동지역의 경질무문토기는 동북한 북부지역의 토기문화를 중심으로 한 한반도 동부지역의 재지계 토기로 추정하였다.
마지막으로 재지계의 삼각형점토대토기와 한식계(漢式系) 분형토기가 공반된 운북동 유적군은 기존 이해와 달리 서북한 북부지역과의 관련성을 검토할 여지가 많다. 화분형토기가 공반되는 대성리B지구 유적군은 서북한 남부지역에서 이주해온 집단으로 북한강유역 일대를 한시적으로 점유한 것으로 보았다. 중도유형문화는 동북한 북부지역의 중심으로 한 재지계 토기문화에 서북한지역의 문화요소들이 수용·융합된 것이며 장기간에 걸쳐 형성된 고고문화이다.

영어초록

The purpose of this study is to examine the genealogy of earthenware types in the central region during the early days of the Proto-Three Kingdoms and the characteristics of the groups using them. First of all, this researcher has divided the North Korean region that is pointed out as the source and origin of earthenware in the central region during the early period of the Proto-Three Kingdoms into the west North Korean region, the middle and lower Yalu River area, and the northeast region and then investigated the changes of earthenware culture from the late Bronze Age to the early period of the Proto-Three Kingdoms. Clay stripe pottery and beating patterned pottery are excavated only in the northwestern region and the middle and upper reaches of the Yalu River, and around the 1st century BC, they were expanded to the entire area except for the northern region of east North Korea. In particular, it is noteworthy that pot-type pottery in the Daedong River basin is found in the southern region of east North Korea (the area of Hamheung) but is not excavated in the adjacent northern region of west North Korea (north of the Cheongcheon River).
As the types of earthenware in the central region during the early days of the Proto-Three Kingdoms, there are triangulated clay stripe pottery, pot-type pottery, and hard plain pottery of which type of technique and genealogy are different from one another. Triangulated clay stripe pottery was changed from circular clay stripe pottery instrumentally, and pot-type pottery is considered to have descended south from the southern part of west North Korea around the 1st century BC. Hard plain pottery can be arranged largely with two genealogical relations. Hard plain pottery in the west coast appeared in the process of Hotguyeon of triangulated clay stripe pottery whereas hard plain pottery in Yeongseo and Yeongdong areas is estimated to be Jeji-gye pottery grounded on earthenware culture in the northern area of east North Korea.
Lastly, unlike the previous understanding of it, Unbuk-dong Archeological Complex where Jaeji-gye triangulated clay stripe pottery and Hansik-gye salver form pottery have been excavated has a lot to be investigated in terms of its relations with the northern area of west North Korea. Regarding Daeseong-ri District B Archeological Complex where pot-type pottery has been found, the group of Nakrang-gye people who migrated from the southern part of west North Korea is considered to have temporarily occupied the area of the Bukhan River basin. Jungdo type culture is a type of archaeological culture that has been established over a long period of time while Jaeji-gye earthenware culture formed around the northern area of east North Korea was accepted and integrated into the cultural elements of the west North Korean region.
