초록

This study analyzed the research trend for understanding and getting the condition of the community garden program for improving self-support of the homeless. The homeless have got social concern upon foreign exchange crisis referring to IMF in Korea, they have not been reducing even if we thought that they could rehabilitate. The homeless person has higher physical and mental disabilities prevalence rate than ordinary person, so their health care is very important for rehabilitation, because health is related with will for rehabilitation. The purpose to support the homeless is to make them rehabilitate, not to make them isolate, and so the best method for it is to offer a work and a job training course. In the terms of a basic right of live, various services have been supporting to the homeless for basic living and social integration. While the supportive housing policy has been conducting for resolving the basic reason of sleeping out in the open recently, various services have been trying continually to link with supportive housing. Instituting the community garden to such supportive housing will offer to the homeless comprehensive service such as improving sociality and offering a space for job training through physical and mental health care and a space of communication for rehabilitation.
