안라국 국읍과 함안지역 내 정치체 변화 (Review of abnormalities in the location of Anra-guk and changes in political entities in Haman)

초록

본 논문은 초기 안라국의 중심촌락, 즉 국읍의 위치 비정과 정치체의 변화양상과 그 동인을 파악하는 것이 목적이다. 선행연구 중 함안지역 청동기 후기 단계 지석묘사회에 대한 연구성과 및 원삼국 목관묘, 2세기 중엽 이후 목곽묘의 연구성과를 바탕으로 하여 검토하였다. 함안지역 유력 정치체는 함안천의 가야읍 말이산세력, 석교천의 군북면 소포리세력, 칠원읍의 오곡리세력의 3개 세력이 각 하천 지류망의 촌락을 아우르는 대표세력으로 꼽을 수 있다. 각 시기별로 이들 세력의 성장 및 통합양상은 3기로 나눌 수 있다.
1기는 초기철기시대에서 원삼국시대로 이행되는 과도기인 기원전 1세기 전엽~기원후 2세기 말엽이다. 주요 유력수장층이 주변집단과의 교류를 통해 목관묘 및 선진문물을 수용하며 소촌규모의 정치체로 성장한다.
2기는 3세기 초엽~4세기 중엽 대에 해당된다. 신음천과 광정천의 정치, 경제, 군사적 실권을 장악한 국읍인 말이산세력이 남강과 함안천의 상류역에 있는 묘사리와 윤외리, 사내리세력 그리고 서촌천의 하기리고분 축조 소별읍집단과의 교섭과 병합을 통한 가야읍 일원의 세력권 통합을 하는 시기로 말이산고분에서도 중대형 목곽묘가 등장하기 시작한다. 안야국은 3세기 전엽에 발발한 것으로 추정되는 포상팔국의 난을 거쳐 가야읍의 말이산(도항리) 목곽묘집단을 중심으로 성장하기 시작한다.
3기는 4세기 후엽~5세기 초엽이 중심시기이며, 안라국은 군북면 소포리를 장악했으나, 칠포국은 과도기적 수혈식석곽묘가 성행하고 마산만, 낙동강 서안권과 독자적인 교류를 하는 등 독립권을 유지한 것으로 보인다. 그러나 5세기 초엽에 이르러 중심집단인 오곡리고분군 내에서 아라가야 양식 토기의 대량부장과 말이산집단의 성장(HM45호분<두류>)에 따라 안라국으로 편입된 것으로 파악된다.
총 3단계의 안라국 발전양상은 ‘국’처럼 국읍↔각 유역별 대촌(중심읍락 및 소별읍)↔소촌의 계층구조 형태를취했으며, 말이산집단이 가장 다수의 촌락을 세력권에 둔 중심읍락, 즉 대촌이었을 것으로 판단된다. 1기의 안야국은 국읍과 대촌 및 소별읍 등의 중심읍락, 소촌 간 명확한 구역 획정을 통한 엄격한 계층구조를 확립한 것으로는 보이지 않는다. 안라국의 성장기반은 청동기시대 후기부터 초기철기시대로 이어지는 지석묘 집단의 성장과 발전이나, 궁극적으로 초기 안라국 단계 정치체의 성립은 2세기 중엽~3세기대의 목관묘-초기 목곽묘 집단이 성립주체인 것으로 귀결된다. 2기의 각 수계별 중심읍락(소별읍)의 독립적인 활동에 대해 제약을 하지 않은 제정일치 사회단계의 과도기적 복합사회를 거치고 3기에 이르면 고분 축조 및 장제 면에서 점차 중심인 가야읍 말이산과 주변인 군북면, 칠원읍 고분군, 주변 중소형 고분집단과 차등을 두는 초기국가 안라국의 측면을 엿볼 수 있다.

영어초록

The purpose of this paper is to identify the central villages of the early Anra (안라) state, specifically the changes in the location of the state and the political entity, and their motives.
Among the previous studies, we reviewed the results of research on the Late Bronze Age dolmen society in the Haman area and the results of research on the Proto-Three Kingdoms wooden coffin tomb and the wooden coffin tomb after the middle of the 2nd century.
The three main political forces in the Haman area were the Malisan faction in Gaya-eup, Hamancheon, the Sopo-ri faction in Gunbuk-myeon, Seokgyocheon, and the Ogok-ri faction in Chilwon-eup, encompassing the villages of each river tributary network. The growth and consolidation of these forces in each period can be divided into three periods. The first period falls between the 1st century BC, a transitional period from the Early Iron Age to the Proto Three Kingdoms period, and the mid 3rd century AD, when the earliest wood coffin burials appear and the Anya Kingdom, in its transformed stage, begins to grow after the Posangpal-guk war, which is thought to have broken out in the early 3rd century AD, centred on the Malisan (Dohang-ri) wood coffin tomb group in Gaya-eup. The second period corresponds to the late 3rd to late 4th century AD, and is the period when the Malisan forces, a state that controlled the political, economic, and military power of Sinseumcheon and Gwangjeongcheon, consolidated the power of the Gaya members through negotiations and mergers with the groups of small towns in the upper reaches of the Namgang and Hamancheon rivers, such as Ilgiri, Yoon-u ri, and Inna-ri, and the Hagiri burial mound-building group in Seochoncheon, and medium and large wooden coffin tombs begin to appear in the Malisan burial mounds.
The third period is centred on the early to mid-fifth century, when Anra grew into a state centred on the Malisan burial mounds. However, despite controlling Sopo-ri in the north of the county, it seems to have maintained its independence, with transitional pit stone coffin tombs flourishing within Chilpo-guk and independent exchanges with Masan Bay and the west bank of the Nakdong River. However, after the middle of the 5th century, Chilpo seems to have been completely subordinated to Anra by the middle of the 5th century. The hierarchical structure of the three stages of Anra-guk took the form of a hierarchy of national capitals ↔ large villages (central villages and small villages) ↔ small villages in each river basin, just like a ‘state’, and it is believed that the Malisan group was the central village, or large village, with the largest number of villages in its sphere of influence. The Anra state of the first period does not appear to have established a strict hierarchy with clear zoning between the national capital and central villages such as large villages and small villages. The basis for the growth of the Anra Kingdom is the growth and development of a group of dolmens from the late Bronze Age to the early Iron Age. However, the establishment of the political body in the early phase of the Anra Kingdom is achieved with the group of wooden coffin graves and early wooden graves as the main formation. After passing through a transitional complex society of unrestricted independent activities of the central villages (small villages) of each water system in the second period, and reaching the third period, we get a glimpse of the aspect of the early state of Anra guk, which gradually differentiated itself in terms of tomb construction and decoration from the central Gaya-eup Malisan and the surrounding Gunbuk-myeon, Chilwon-eup burial mounds as well as the surrounding small and medium-sized burial mound groups.
