    초록

    At seeing kids' life patterns recently, I worry about 3 problems: the disorganized sleep rhythm, the irregular eating rhythm, and the shortage of exercise. These days, most children unwillingly adapt to the night-type life. In Childhood, kids must go to bed early in the evening, but about 40~50% kids these days sleep over 10 o'clock at night. If they continue such habit, they have short sleep time, so they can't concentrate, and easily irritate or get angry. And they are busier in the morning because of their late wake up, leading to have breakfast poorly or to skip it. Moreover, because they are impossible to start their morning after opening their bowels, many kids are forced to go out for their studying under bad condition. For these reasons, it is not unnatural that kids' activities fall down. Reduced activities lead poor physical fitness. The most serious problem is that kids' quantity of motion are quickly reduced.
    To improve this life rhythm, it is important that kids must have breakfast to activate their lower body temperature resulting from the sleep. And out-door activities with peers help to develop their physical strength and the adaptability for outs environment, the sociality to control their intelligence and emotion, instead of watching on TV or video tapes. Additionally, taking exercise improves the regulation of body temperature and the autonomic nerve system's function, leading for kids to be do activities voluntarily. An exercise absolutely needs to have some funny and freshness, the attraction of playing group games. It also gives opened emotions, and good fatigue feeling required for good qualitied sleep. We must keep in mind that kids must go to bed before 9 o'clock at night, and their appropriate sleeping time is over 10 hours.
    It is important that parents help their kids to set their life habit going to bed and waking up early, and having appropriate breakfast as well as increasing their exercise quantity. In case of Japan, the importance of forming kid's good daily habit is increased, so relevant campaigns are nationally being developed.
