1950년대 중후반 ≪청년문학≫의 편집주체와 결절점(結節點): 1957년 11월 조선작가동맹 중앙위원회 제2차 전원회의를 중심으로 (Editors and Nodes of Youth Literature in the Middle and Late 1950s: Focusing on the 2nd Plenary Meeting of Josun Author Alliance Central Committee in November 1957)

초록

이 글은 1950년대 중후반 북조선 문단의 논쟁 속에서, 조선작가동맹 중앙위원회 기관지의 지형도 안에서 ≪청년문학≫의 편집주체 및 굴절점을 점검해보고자 한다. 이 시기 ≪청년문학≫의 박웅걸(주필) 편집위원회 체제는 조선작가동맹 편집위원회의 자율성 증대에 따른 신진작가 중심의 문예지적 성격이 강화된 편집체제인데, 이는 한순간 자유로웠던 북조선 기관지 역사에서 특이한 위치에 놓여 있으며, 또한 제2차 조선작가대회와 조선작가동맹 제2차 전원회의의 유동하는 자리에 위치한다.
1956년 10월 제2차 조선작가대회 이후 1957년 11월 조선작가동맹 제2차 전원회의는 중요한 결절점인데, 이 회의에서 반당 종파분자로 낙인찍힌 홍순철과 사상적으로 연계된 한효나 안함광, 박임 등의 비당적 활동이 폭로되는 자리이기도 하다. 특히 홍순철에 대한 매욕은 기호의 전이 현상, 즉 기호의 끝없는 자기 증식과 변이의 과정을 거쳐 가혹하게 진행된 것도 또한 사실이다. 그리고 조선작가동맹 제2차 전원회의는 조선작가동맹의 사회주의 리얼리즘에 대한 해석의 경직성과 유연성의 흐름 속에서 발생한 사건인데, 1956년 ‘8월 전원회의 사건’과 연결되면서 사회주의 리얼리즘의 해석은 레닌적 원칙성을 강조하는 공산주의 문학 건설이라는 경직성, 또는 당의 일원적 지도체제로 치닫는 계기가 된다.
또한 이 전원회의는 사회주의 리얼리즘의 경직화에 따른 당 문학으로 나아가는 길의 도표인데, 작가들 속의 낡은 사상 잔재, 즉 ‘부르주아 사상 잔재를 뿌리뽑고 당의 영도와 당의 사상으로 철저히 무장하기 위한 사상 투쟁’이라는 부르주아 사상 잔재 청산과 공산주의 문학 건설이라는 ‘광풍’(?)의 정점으로 치닫는 이정표가 된다. 또한 ≪청년문학≫의 박웅걸(주필) 편집위원회 체제에서 박태영(주필)이나 정서촌(주필) 편집위원회 체제로 넘어가는 길표이기도 하다.

영어초록

This study aims to examine the editors and nodes of Youth Literature in the context of the central committee paper of Josun Author Alliance during the period of controversies about the North Josun literary world in the middle and late 1950s. During this period, the editorial board system of Youth Literature led by Park Ung-geol (editor in chief) featured the characteristics of rising writers as a literary magazine in line with the enhanced autonomy of Josun Author Alliance editorial board. It held a special position in the history of the North Josun paper that had been enjoying a certain freedom for a while at that time, and it played a role when the 2nd Josun Authors’ Conference and the 2nd Plenary Meeting of Josun Author Alliance were held. After the 2nd Josun Authors’ Conference was held in October 1956, the 2nd Plenary Meeting of Josun Author Alliance was held in November 1957 as an important node. In this meeting, the non-party activities of Han Hyo, An Ham-gwang, and Park Im who were ideologically connected to Hong Sun-cheol stigmatized as an anti-party insurgent were also disclosed. Particularly, the denunciation against Hong Sun-cheol well reflects the metastasis of signs, that is, the relentless progress of the self-replicating and self-variation of signs. In addition, the 2nd Plenary Meeting of Josun Author Alliance was held in the context of rigidity and flexibility in the interpretation of socialist realism of Josun Author Alliance. As it was connected to the ‘August Plenary Meeting Incident’ in 1956, the interpretation of socialist realism developed into focusing on the rigidity of the communist literature construction that emphasized Lenin’s principles, that is, the party’s unitary leadership. This Plenary Meeting was a sort of guide map of the party’s literature in the rigidity of socialist realism. It also became a milestone to proot the remaining bourgeois ideas and construct the communist literature while the waves were heading to a climax in the ideological conflicts to eradicate the remaining old ideas among writers and to be thoroughly equipped with the party’s ideas under its leadership. Under the editorial board system of Youth Literature led by Park Ung-geol (editor in chief), it also indicated and directed the transition to the new editorial board system of Park Tae-yeong (editor in chief) or Jeong Seo-chon (editor in chief).
