Research on the characteristics and inheritance plan of Xi'an historical area according to the elements of urban context

초록

(Research background and purpose) Modernism is becoming the mainstream of design amid the expansion and development of cities. The face of the city is gradually the same. This is because people put more importance on the efficiency and economy of the city than on the space design of emotions and experiences. Therefore, how to improve urban cultural planning, how to transmit context characteristics, and how to strengthen the cultural identity of people with regional characteristics have become international problems. Hence, it is necessary to connect urban planning and history by utilizing traditional contexts in the development of modern urban functions. Protecting and inheriting memories and sentiments of the region using the regeneration and improvement through the transmission of context and modern fusion is an essential requirement for the development of a historic city. Aiming at the inheritance of the urban context in the historical area of Xi'an, China, this paper gives the investigation and changes of the context, as well as its constituent elements. In addition, this paper aims to lay a research foundation for the protection and inheritance of the historical regional space through the cultural heritage of Xi'an (Method). This paper takes the public space of historical areas as the research object, and discusses how to provide better strategies for the protection of historical areas and the inheritance of urban context. This paper is mainly completed through literature analysis, field investigation, reason analysis and comparative research. (Results) A plan for supplementing street facilities, maintaining the order of the historic district, and using new media for technological convergence in the new digital age is suggested. (Conclusion) In this paper, in order to inherit the plan and direction of the historical earth context, the urban context is analyzed. Specifically, the cultural heritage elements and design scheme of the Han Chang'an City in the historical area of Xi'an are put forward. The Han Chang'an City, which represents the ancient Chinese city, has gone through more than 2,000 years, while the space composition and contextual characteristics of the historical city are still clearly preserved to this day. Preserving the urban centerline and the texture of the traditional urban structure, this study explores the modern expansion scheme, and integrates the original space elements, thereby deriving the direction of maintaining the regional characteristic space form and controlling the interface scale. Although it cannot be said that the development plan of the historical area of Xi'an is worth advocating, the Chinese government and relevant departments are working hard to protect and utilize it. Therefore, it is hoped that this study can become the basic data for the development and protection of the historical area of Xi'an City.
