한국과 태국 대학생들의 플로리시에 영향을 미치는 요인 탐색: 종교성과 행복을 중심으로 (Enhancing Flourish: The Role of Religiosity and Happiness among University Students in Korea and Thailand)

초록

This study was to examine the differences of Korean and Thai university students on religiosity, happiness, and flourishing in Korea and Thailand, and direct and indirect effects of religiosity and happiness on flourishing among them. The subjects were 155 Korean university students in Seoul, Korea, and 304 Thai university students in Bangkok, Thailand. Measures of the religiosity(i.e., intrapersonal religious committment and interpersonal religious committment), Happiness(i.e., eudaimonia and hedonia), and Flourishing were administered. Results were as followed. Firstly, Thai students had a higher religiosity and happiness than Korean students. Secondly, for Korean and Thai students, religiosity had positive direct effects on happiness and flourishing. Also religiosity had a positive direct effect on flourishing via hedonia for both Korean and Thai students. Results are discussed in terms of their implications in Korea and Thailand.
