초록

문화는 한 집단의 정체성이 내재된 총체적 가치체계로 문화적 산물을 통해 우리는 그 문화의 사회상은 물론 심미성 또한 알 수 있다. 그러나 사람들에겐 종종 자신들의 문화적 우월성과 함께 타 문화에대한 편향적 시각 또한 존재한다. 본 연구는 시간과 공간, 문화를 관통해 나타나는 문화적 산물, 예술에서의 아름다움을 인간에게 내재된 보편적 심미안의 관점에서 객관적 조형성 분석을 통해 재조명하며, 문화적 산물, 예술에 대해 시공을 뛰어넘는 미적 보편성의 존재함을 증명하는데 그 목적을 둔다.
연구범위로는 시간적, 공간적으로 다양한 문화권을 중심으로 나타나는 대표적인 문화 산물 가운데 관련 자료에서 그 의미가 의지적으로 해석될 여지가 있는 것을 대상으로 이미지 260여 개를 추출하고, 이 사례를 통해서 미술사적으로 의미있는 이미지를 선별한 후 여러 경향 중 본 연구의 논지와 논리 전개에 답변 가능한 이미지를 분석대상으로 하였다. 연구방법으로는 진화심리학의 예술적 견해에 대한이론적 고찰을 통해 시간과 공간의 축에서 발견되는 다양한 문화적 산물 사례에 대한 해석을 비교 분석하고, 도출된 특징적 키워드를 중심으로 보편적 조형적 원리로서의 시각과 문화적 다양성의 관점을제안한다. 연구결과로는 첫째, 사례분석을 통해 심미적 의지나 직관성, 조형언어와 같은 인간의 보편적 미의식이 존재함을 밝혔다. 둘째, 이러한 보편적 미의식은 시간과 공간, 문화를 초월해서 우선함을확인하였다. 셋째, 예술의 결과물이 정서적으로 공유를 가능하게 하며, 타문화를 이해하는 직관적 소통의 매개체 역할의 가능성을 열어주는 제2의 심미적 언어체계가 있음을 알 수 있었다. 차후 본 연구의결과가 문화 예술의 심미적 보편성 연구의 활용과 예술영역의 포용성이 환기되기를 기대하고자 한다.

영어초록

Culture is a total value system with a group's identity embedded inside. Through its cultural products, we come to know the social nature of a particular culture, along with the aesthetics.
Nevertheless, a narrow view, and feel a sense of superiority in their own culture among people often exists against other cultures. This research re-examines the beauty in the cultural products, the arts appeared through time, space and culture from the point of view of inherent universal aesthetic in humans through objective formality analysis. It also aims to prove the existence of aesthetic universality beyond time and space in cultural products, arts. The scope of the study is based on around 260 images that are chosen among representative cultural products that appear in various cultural regions both temporally and spatially. Then meaningful images in the art history that could give an answer to the thesis and logical development of this study among various trends were selected. The method of this research is by comparing and analyzing the interpretation of various cultural product cases that are found in the axis of time and space through the theoretical study of artistic perspective of evolutionary psychology, and to suggest the view of cultural diversity as a universal formative principle focusing on the extracted characteristic keywords. As a result of the study, first, it has revealed the existence of universal human aesthetic consciousness such as aesthetic will, intuition, and formative language through the case analysis. Second, it has been confirmed that such universal aesthetic is put first beyond time, space, and culture. Third, it is observed that there is a second aesthetic language system that enables emotional sharing of the creations of art and opens the possibility of the medium as a role of intuitive communication for understanding other cultures. I hope that the result of this study will be used in the aesthetic universality research in culture and art, and that it will evokes the magnanimity of the art field.
