이상 시에 나타난 시선 주체의 익명성 (Anonymity of sightline subject in Lee Sang poetry)

초록

본 논문은 이상 시에 나타난 시적 주체의 문제를 이상 문학의 근대성과 관련하여 문제화하고자 했다. 이상 시는 ‘시선의 주체화’라고 하는 문제를 시선 주체의 분열과 익명성이라는 측면에서 드러내면서 ‘시선의 탈주체화’를 동시에 보여주는 문제적인 텍스트이다. 이상 시에서 주체와 대상과의 관계는 역전되거나 서로의 위치를 교환하며, 주체와 대상이 존재하는 공간 뒤의 또 다른 주체의 시선이 암시되어 있다. 이러한 사태에서 이상 시의 시선 주체는 대상과 세계에 대한 초월적인 위치에 설 수 없으며, 따라서 하나의 일관된 인격으로서의 자기동일성을 가질 수도 없다. 이렇게 시선 주체에 대해 이름붙일 수 없고 그 인격적 동일성이 보장되지 않는다는 측면에서, 이것을 ‘시선 주체의 익명성’이라고 말할 수 있다.
이상의 시에서 ‘훼손된 신체의 부분’에 대한 이미지들은 하나의 유기체로서의 신체를 소유하는 주체 개념을 파기한다. 유기적인 전체성으로서의 육체를 해체하기 때문에, 신체의 부분은 각각 어떤 미시적인 사건의 자율적인 주체인 동시에 시선의 비인칭적인 대상이 되는 것이다. 부분과 전체의 질서 위에 구축된 자기보존의 주체로서의 단일한 유기적인 신체는 없다. 이러한 시선 주체의 탈인격화와 자기분열은 근대적 시선 주체의 확립을 그 근저에서 뒤흔드는 시적 모험이라고 할 수 있다. 식민지 체제의 유기체적인 전체라는 환상에 대해 이상의 시는 탈인격적인 이질성과 비연속성, 파편적 개별성이라는 ‘반미학’을 드러낸다. 시선 주체의 탈주체화를 통해 익명적인 발화가 생성되는 이상의 시는, 식민지의 근대적 주체를 사회적이고 이데올로기적 환상의 자리로부터 벗어나게 한다는 측면에서 정치적인 것이다.

영어초록

As related with modernity of Lee Sang literature, this paper is trying to refer the problem of poetic subject in his poetry. Especially, as focusing on the problem of 'sightline subject', it is trying to restructure the problem of modernity and esthetic modernity in esthetic singularity of his literature. His poetry shows the problem 'becoming a sightline subject', in the respect of division and anonymity of sightline subject, and 'existing from the sightline' at the same time. In his poetry, the relationship between subject and object can be changed, share their places each other and suggest other sightline of other subject behind their places. In this situation, sightline subject of his poetry can't stand at the transcendental position about object and subject, so that it can't also gain the self-identity as a consistent personality. Likewise, because it isn't possible to name the signtline subject and get the personal identity, it can be called as 'anonymity of sightline subject.'In Lee Sang poetry, 'mirror' isn't the basis of misunderstanding of subject, which could gain the self-identity, but it is the parameter of self-disharmony and self-division. In this mirror, his poetry shows the situation seeing object in subject, not seeing subject in object. There, it exposes the fact, mirror shows the sightline of others actually, not one’s self. In his poetry, images on the parts of damaged body deny the subject concept to gain the body as a organization. In this, the movement of sightline, seeing the damaged body as partial object, separates the identity of sightline subject based in the good organic body. In his poetry the seeing point of self-division of this sightline subject is the poetic adventure breaking out the basis of establishing the modern sightline subject. As reconsidering the modern sightline system, his poetry shows how esthetic subject in the colonial era could exit from the position of self-identity and transcendental subject. It is the political thing in respect of cracked saying to free modern subject in colony from social and ideological illusive place. And it can be also condition of esthetic modernity as strong critical saying on the modernity at the same time.
