박용래 시의 반복형태 구조 연구 (A Study on the Repeated Structure in Park Yong-rae's Poetry)

초록

시에서 반복은 시 형식을 단순화․규격화할 여지가 있으나 적절히 활용하면 리듬의 균형을 조절할 뿐만 아니라 전체 구성상 질서화를 실현함으로써 의미 생성이나 미묘한 정서 상태를 반영하는 데 효율적이다. 박용래 시에서 다양하게 나타나는 반복기법을 정리하면 다음과 같다.
① 전후대칭의 반복 구조는 전반부와 후반부를 구분할 수 있는 주요인자로 작용해 비연시 형태에서도 묵계적인 단락 구분으로 연 기능을 수행한다. 그러나 형태에 비해 내용은 정확히 대칭을 이루지 않고 탄력적으로 구성된다.
② 단순 나열형의 반복 구조는 전후대칭형에서 발전한 것으로 동일한 구절이 단순하게 나열되는 형태이다. 이 구조는 열림과 닫힘으로 서로 균형을 이루거나 중간 내용을 아우르지 못하기 때문에 구성의 긴밀도가 떨어져 단순성에 빠지기 쉽다.
③ 반복적 병렬이나 그 역행 구조는 한 쌍 이상의 통사적 반복을 거느리고 있는 병렬로서, 반복과 그 경계를 넘나드는 형태이다. 표면적으로 병렬보다 반복적 요소가 전경화되고 있으나 단순해 보이는 반복 내에 병렬 관계를 형성하고 있다. 현대시에서 병렬은 점차 의미상 연관 있는 대구적 쌍이나 대응으로서의 개념을 변형, 해체시킴으로써 넓은 개념의 반복적 양상으로 확대된다.
④ 순환구조의 수미쌍관씩 반복 구조는 첫 연과 마지막 연이 똑같이 대칭을 이루며 반복됨으로써 시 내용을 열고 닫으며 중간 부분을 아우르는 이원적 구조 형태이다. 이 구조는 율격 단위 간의 등가성과 반복성을 형성하여 연의 무한한 반복 가능성을 제한하며 종결 효과 강조에 중점을 둔다.
⑤ 상황연쇄의 변화 반복 구조는 반복을 통한 청각 현상이나 단어의 연속 놀이를 연상하는 언어유희의 한 형태로서 단어연쇄, 동음반복, 고쳐쓰기 등으로 다양하게 나타난다. 앞 단어나 구절, 문장 등을 받고 동시에 새로운 요소를 첨가하여 반복을 진행한다.

영어초록

The repetition in poetry is very efficient way to create new meanings and show delicately emotional conditions by controlling the balance of rhythm as well as making poems well organized with proper use of repetition, although the repetition can lead to simplification and standardization of the form of poetry.
First, the repeated structure of symmetry between the beginning and the end carries out the implicit division of a verse paragraph in the non-stanzaic verse as the main factor which separates the beginning from the end. But compared with the form, the content is flexibly composed without an accurate symmetry.
Second, the repeated structure of simple narration is developed from the symmetry between the beginning and the end. It means to arrange simply the same sentence structure. It loses the tightness of structure and is likely to fall into the simplicity because it doesn't makes the balance between the beginning and the end and can't put the middle part of a poem together.
Third, the repeated parallel or retrogressive structure is the form crossing the frontier and repetition, as the parallel which has more than a pair of syntactical repetition. Seemingly, the repeated elements are in the foreground more than the parallel, but they form the parallel relationship within a simple appearing repetition. The parallel enlarges the repetitive aspect by changing and deconstructing the conception of correspondence or couplet which has similar meaning in modern poetry.
Four, the circular structure of connection between the beginning and the end becomes the form of dual structure, owing to not only achieving repetition through the same symmetry between the first stanza and the last stanza but also joining the middle part in a poem. The circular structure emphasizes the effect of conclusion, and suggests the possibility of the unlimited repetition of stanza by building the repetition and equivalence per meter unit.
Fifth, the repeated structure of situation chain shows the various things like word chain, homophonous repeat and rewriting as a kind of wordplay related to the hearing phenomenon or games with words. The repetition is done by means of adding new elements to a previous word, phrase, sentence and so on.
