트위터 시의 현상과 가능성－하상욱의 『서울 시』, 『서울 시2』를 중심으로－ (The study of Twitter poetry–Focused on the poetry of Ha, Sang-Uk)

초록

This study focuses on the Seoul poetry, Seoul poetryⅡ (『서울 시』, 『서울 시2』) these are poetic works of the poet, Sanguk Ha. The meaning of the titles are doubleness. The one is the name of Korean capital city, Seoul, the other is poetry about Seoul. Because Korean “시” has meanings as a city and a poem. This poet is the one who creates on Twitter, so his works are there. Specially he compiled and published his poetry, too. This case is something extraordinary, something very special in Korea. In fact, if he or she wants to be a poet in Korea, he or she must make literary debut as passing some literary contest. But Sanguk Ha didn’t do that, just wrote on Twitter.
His works have the characteristics of poetry. This study analyzes two ways about the poetry, first it focuses on the contents of the works, second it examines on the forms of them. These poems satire on this times, the life of petty bourgeois, the sorrows of a salaried employee, and the realities of the digital age. And these works have some styles, for example, there are the fixed pattern of letter’s number, the pun, and parody. Then the styles are repeated, fixed forms.
His works have unique significant, but we could not help thinking about problem of Twitter. First of all, the users who are writing on Twitter want to have sympathy with each others, so familiar things is preferred over new things on Twitter. Then Twitter is not suitable for creative works. And Twitter have been blamed for causing shortages of communication for users in the real life, unfortunately. But we could understand this SNS or media mechanism, would use it for the goodness. Because the poet knows that too, so we are able to be optimistic about the future of Twitter poetry.
