形成期의 韓國漢文學 연구 -對中國外交와 五言詩의 出現에 대하여- (Diplomacy to China and appearance of Chinese five word poetry五言詩 in Korean Chinese literature of its formation period)

초록

본고는 三國(高句麗·百濟·新羅)시대 五言詩가 출현하게 된 과정을 고찰하여, 形成期 韓國漢文學의 특징을 규명하고자 하였다. 특히 중국대륙에 거대한 통일왕조인 隋·唐이 등장하면서 대중국 외교정책이 변화하고, 이로 인해 삼국의 지식인들에게 시문 능력이 요구되었으며, 정치적 필요성에 의해 오언시가 제작된 사실을 밝혔다. 6세기경부터 고구려·백제·신라 사이에 주도권 쟁탈전이 격렬해지면서, 삼국은 자국의 이익을 위해 중국대륙의 각 왕조와 외교관계를 맺고, 보다 적극적으로 대륙 문화를 흡수하기 시작한다. 수·당의 통일왕조가 성립하는 7세기 전후가 되면, 대중국 외교정책의 중요성이 증대되고, 시문 제작은 중국과의 외교교섭이라는 실용적인 목적에 의해서 더욱 중요시 된다. 大業 8년(612)에 隋煬帝가 고구려를 정벌할 때, 고구려의 장군 乙支文德 이 수의 장군 于仲文을 조소하기 위해서 보낸 5언 4구의 「與隋將于仲文詩」는, 대중국 외교가 악화되어 일어난 전쟁 중에 제작된 작품으로, 이른바 중국과의 외교마찰의 결과물 이었다. 이와는 정반대로 신라는 수·당왕조와 우호적인 외교관계를 유지하였으며, 특히 당왕조와 긴밀한 군사동맹까지 구축했다. 眞德女王 4년(650)에 백제와의 전쟁에서 승리하고 이 사실을 당에 보고할 때, 唐太宗의 「春日望海」시에 奉和한 5언 20구의 「太平頌」을 비단에 짜서 唐高宗에게 헌상한 것은, 당의 군사력을 빌려 삼국통일을 완수하기 위한 외교수단이었다. 또 현존하는 한국 最古의 오언시는, 6세기 후반에 陳왕조에 유학한 고구려 승려 定法師가 지은 「詠孤石」인데, 풍부한 표현으로 자신의 내면세계를 토로하고 있는 등 예술성이 높은 작품이며, 聲律 등의 형식면에 있어서도 近體詩에 접근하고 있다. 삼국시대의 작품으로서 남겨진 오언시 3수는 모두 중국과의 관계 속에서 제작되었으며, 또한 중국의 문헌자료에 수록되어 전하게 됨으로써 현존하고 있다. 한반도에서 자국의 시문을 의식적으로 수집하기 시작하는 고려중기 이전의 작품은, 그 상당수가 중국의 문헌자료에 수록되어 후대에 전하게 되었는데, 이러한 사실은 형성기의 한국한문학을 연구하는 데 있어서 주목해야 할 부분이다.

영어초록

In this study, the author has attempted to illustrate the process and the characteristics of Korean Chinese literature of its formation period where Chinese five word poetry五言詩 appeared along with making diplomatic policies to China in Three countries三國(高句麗·百濟·新羅) in a Korean peninsula from the sixth century on. Especially, it was focused on to verify the fact that Chinese five word poetry五言詩 had been produced with the necessity on politics in the place of diplomatic negotiations to China because the intellectuals of three countries三國 had come to be asked ability to make use of Chinese poetry from the early seventh century when the universalization of the Chinese civilization by such huge unified dynasty of Sui隋 and Tang唐 had reached over even a Korean peninsula Tugs of war between Koguryo高句麗 Paekjae百濟 and Silla新羅 Dynasties in the Korean peninsula became more competitive in about the sixth century that each of three countries三國 made its own connection with each dynasty of the Chinese continent for its diplomatic profit, absorbing continental culture more positively. And the poetry production became crucial in diplomatic negotiations to China around the seventh century when huge dynasties of Sui隋and Tang唐 appeared and the more diplomatic priority should be made on coping with them. "與隋將于仲文詩" of the Chinese five word poetry五言詩, presented so that the general 乙支文德 of Koguryo高句麗 might ridicule the general 于仲文of Sui隋 when 煬帝 of Sui隋 Dynasty began to subjugate Koguryo 高句麗 in 612 years, was a work created in the place of so-called diplomatic negotiation, in the middle of war caused by the diplomatic failure toward China. Contrary to Koguryo高句麗, Silla新羅 kept an amiable diplomatic relation with Tang唐 Dynasty, and even built up an intimate military alliance with Tang唐 Dynasty. When the 眞德 queen of Silla 新羅Dynasty reported on victory over Paekjae百濟 in 650 years to 高宗 of Tang 唐Dynasty, it had a diplomatic meaning to borrow military power of Tang唐 Dynasty and to accomplish the unification of three countries三國 that she made brocade for a present in which 太平頌 of 5言20句 was woven to answer奉和 the poetry of "太平頌" by 太宗 of Tang唐 Dynasty. It should be noted that both poetries were made in the necessity on politics according to each diplomatic situation toward China. The first existing Chinese five word poetry五言詩 in Korea is the poetry of "詠孤石" that was composed by the priest 定法師 who went to study from Koguryo高句麗 to Chen陳 Dynasty in the latter half of the sixth century. This poetry describes his inner feelings using rich expressions with a high artistry and is the first style poetry近體詩 in proper rhythm in Korea. The three Chinese five word poetries五言詩 existing as Chinese poems in Three country age三國時代 are all made in relation with China being put in the Chinese document materials. Most works before the middle term of Korea高麗 when they consciously started to collect their own poems in Korea peninsula could only be available being preserved in Chinese document materials, which should be paid good attention to when you study Korean Chinese literature of its formation period.
