沈連洙 시의식 연구 (A Study on Sim Yeon-su's Poetic Consciousness)

초록

본고의 목적은 沈連洙 시 의식의 형성배경과 그 세계를 밝히고자하는데 있다. 이와 같은 목적을 위해 그의 傳記的 삶과 환경적 요인의 역학관계를 추정하여 그의 시 의식의 動因을 밝혔다. 한국문학사에서 오랫동안 이름조차 거론되지 않았던 심연수는 2000년에 중국 용정에서 그의 유고작이 발굴되고 소개되어 알려지게 되었다. ‘민족시인’, ‘항일시인’으로 일컬어지는 심연수는 1940년대 일제 암흑기에 치열하게 문학 활동을 전개했던 시인으로서 그의 짧은 생에 비해 다량의 시 작품을 창작하였다.
심연수의 시 의식은 流浪과 流移民 의식, 민족의식에 따른 민족 동질성 표출, 항일의식과 미래에 대한 낙관적 전망으로 대별된다. 유랑과 유이민 의식은 소작농으로 가난했던 가족이 생존을 위해 조국을 떠나야만했던 그의 가족사적인 체험에 의해 형성되었다. 이런 점에서 심연수의 시는 ‘유이민의 시’ 혹은 ‘디아스포라(diaspora)의 문학’이라 할 수 있다.
유랑과 유이민 의식은 자연스럽게 조국의 고향에 대한 그리움으로 이어지며 그것은 다시 민족의식에 따른 민족 동질성 표출로 연결된다. 민족의식과 항일의식의 형성배경에는 심연수의 삼촌 심우택과 그의 스승 김수산의 영향 그리고 만주지역과 동흥중학교의 특수성이 복합적으로 작용하였다.
일본유학 이후 심연수의 시는 巨視的인 안목에서 당시 세계사적인 흐름을 인식하고, 항일의식과 미래에 대한 낙관적 전망을 노래한다. 〈소년아 봄은 오려니〉와 〈地球의 노래〉는 항일의식과 미래에 대한 낙관적 전망을 노래했다는 점에서 의의와 가치가 있다. 특히 이 시기에 일정한 교감과 교류를 통해 관계가 형성된 항일독립운동가 여운형의 영향이 지대했으리라 추정된다.
유랑과 유이민 의식, 민족의식에 따른 민족 동질성 표출, 항일의식과 미래에 대한 낙관적 전망의 시 의식은 沈連洙의 전 문학적 생애를 통틀어서 지속적으로 표출된 것이다. 그 중에서도 민족의식과 항일의식은 심연수 시의 핵으로서 그의 시의 가치와 의의를 빛나게 한다.

영어초록

The purpose of this study is to clarify the formation background and its world in poetic consciousness. For this objective, it estimated dynamics between his biographical life and environmental factor and then clarified a motive in his poetic consciousness. Sim Yeon-su, who had not been mentioned even a name for a long time in the history of Korean literature, came to be known by which his posthumous works were excavated and introduced in Lungching of China in 2000. As Sim Yeon-su, who is called as a national poet and anti-Japanese poet, is a poet who had developed literary activity fiercely during the Japanese Colonial Dark Age in the 1940s, he created volume of poetic works compared to his short life.
Sim Yeon-su's poetic consciousness is classified roughly into the nomadic and wandering consciousness, the expression of national homogeneity according to national consciousness, anti-Japanese consciousness, and the optimistic prospect for future. The nomadic and wandering consciousness was formed by experiencing his family history that his family, which had been poor as tenant farming, had needed to leave homeland for survival. In this sense, Sim Yeon-su's poetry can be said to be ‘wandering poem’ or ‘Diasporic literature.’The nomadic and wandering consciousness naturally leads to longing for hometown in motherland. It is again connected to the expression of national homogeneity according to national consciousness. The background of forming national consciousness and anti-Japanese consciousness was functioned complexly the influence of Sim U-taek, who is Sim Yeon-su's uncle, and of Kim Su-san, who is his teacher, and the particularity in manchu area and Dongheung Middle School.
Following a study in Japan, Sim Yeon-su's poetry sings the anti-Japanese consciousness and the optimistic prospect for future with recognizing a flow of world history at that time from the macroscopic insight.〈Boy, Spring Will Come〉and 〈Song of the Earth〉have significance and value in a sense of having sung the anti-Japanese consciousness and the optimistic prospect for future. Especially, the influence of Yeo Un-hyeong, who is anti-Japanese Independence Activist of having been formed relationship through the certain communion and exchange in this period, is estimated to have been likely great.
The poetic consciousness in the nomadic and wandering consciousness, in the expression of national homogeneity according to national consciousness, in anti-Japanese consciousness and in the optimistic prospect for future is what was expressed continuously throughout Sim Yeon-su's whole literary lifetime. Even among those things, the national consciousness and the anti-Japanese consciousness correspond to a key in Sim Yeon-su's poetry, thereby allowing value and significance in his poetry to be shined.
