미시세계 상보성 원리와 혜강 기학(氣學)의 기(氣)흐름 속 태권도 수련의 궁극적 합리성 (The Ultimate Rationality of Taekwondo Practice Within the Flow of Qi (氣) of Hyegang’s Theory of Qi (氣學) and the Complementarity Theory of the Microscopic World)

초록

This study aimed to verify whether quantum theory and Eastern philosophy have purposiveness in reality focusing on taekwondo, one of the indigenous forms of body movement practiced in the East. The purpose of this study is to identify a principle in the ether theory (渾天說) that corresponds to quantum theory in order to verify the theoretical rationality of taekwondo practice within the flow of qi (氣), and thus to find the ultimate basis for the philosophy of taekwondo. In this study, the rationality of taekwondo practice within the flow of qi was described on the basis of complementarity theory and interaction that correspond to the most fundamental macrocosm and microcosm that form the basis of rational reasoning. The complementarity theory and complementary relation show that the current reality is formed as the great universe and the nature of the beginning of the world have continued to transform. In this regard, taekwondo practice suggests the ultimate goal, that is, approaching the original nature (recovery=homing), and contributes to the academic formation of taekwondo. In quantum theory and the ether theory which are the center of the results above, the beginning of the world is energy and qi (氣), and chaos and existence are viewed as a probability and temporary shape (客形), which indicates that the two theories have a corresponding theoretical structure. In particular, in the ether theory, the Great Void is a chaos, and quantum theory proves the duality of all things that exist. Particles and wavelengths are incompatible in the macroscopic system, but, in quantum theory, the nature of matter that exists has been explained as the key to the formation of all things based on the principle of mutually dependent opposites of yin and yang (two types of qi in the ether theory). Humans have continued to be transformed based on cosmological evolution. In quantum theory, they exist as the metamorphosis of energy under the complementarity theory that is explained on the basis of the uncertainty principle of particles and wavelengths. In the ether theory, two opposite types of qi have a complementary relationship as yin and yang are opposite, but dependent on the other. In addition, in quantum theory, space is a state in which the duality of thin energy without matter spreads and, it is a thin flow that shows the duality of qi in the ether theory. Therefore, taekwondo, essentially as a long-held, traditional practice, has an appropriate rationality that follows the duty of a cosmological great ego (human nature) that pursues intangible ideals in the process of denying the materialistic reality of the macroscopic system while cultivating one’s mind and body.
