칠석 시회(詩會)의 세시풍속적 면모와 문화콘텐츠로서의 가능성 (The Characteristics of the Poetry Banquet in Chilseok and its Potential as the Cultural Content)

초록

본 논문에서는 칠석 시회의 세시풍속적 면모를 고찰하고, 문화콘텐츠의 관점에서 보았을 때 그것이 지니는 전통문화자원으로서의 가능성을 탐색해보았다.
세시풍속이란 음력 정월부터 섣달까지 같은 시기에 반복되는 주기전승의례로, 시계성(時季性), 주기성(週期性), 순환성(循環性)을 기본 속성으로 한다. 칠석 시회가 칠석의 세시풍속에 포함되는 것은 늦여름에서 초가을 사이의 절기에 바탕한 시계성, 1년을 주기로 매년 음력 7월 7일에 반복되는 주기성과 순환성을 모두 갖추고 있기 때문이다. 칠석 세시풍속으로서의 칠석 시회는 고려에서 조선, 20세기 전반에 이르기까지 지속적으로 유지․전승되었다.
오늘날 문화콘텐츠 산업에서는 이야기가 하나의 코드로 적극 활용된다. 원천 자원으로서의 이야기 및 기법으로서의 스토리텔링이 중시되는 현재의 흐름을 고려할 때, 칠석 시회는 문화콘텐츠로서의 가능성과 전망을 제시할 수 있는 전통문화라 할 수 있다.
첫째, 칠석 시회는 건강, 기운, 재복의 충전이라는 ‘특별한’ 의미 획득을 가능하게 하는 시계적 특수성을 지니기 때문이다. 세시풍속 문화콘텐츠를 기획할 때, 칠석 시회의 시계적 특수성을 부각하는 스토리텔링을 덧입힌다면, 기존의 여름 나기에서 한 걸음 나아가 건강, 기운, 재복의 충전이라는 의미까지 획득할 수 있을 것이다. 그러한 ‘특별한’ 스토리텔링과 의미는 드림 소사이어티의 시대에 세시풍속 문화콘텐츠를 향유하는 이들에게도 큰 호응을 불러일으킬 수 있을 것이다.
둘째, 칠석 시회는 상상과 낭만을 자극하는 견우직녀 이야기라는 원천 서사를 가지고 있기 때문이다. 칠석 시회에는 이야기가 있었다. 그리고 이 이야기는 다양한 문화콘텐츠로 만들어질 수 있는 잠재력을 내포하고 있다. 대부분의 한국 사람들이 어린 시절부터 동화로 접하는 매우 익숙한 서사일 뿐만 아니라 한국과 중국, 일본 등 동아시아가 공유한다는 장점도 있는바, 내국인은 물론 해외 관광객 대상의 문화콘텐츠 기획도 가능하다. 과거의 전통적인 칠석 시회에서는 견우직녀 이야기가 다소 제한적으로 수용되는 경향이 있었으므로, 이 점을 보완하여 향유자들이 다양한 감성을 표출할 수 있도록 유도할 필요가 있겠다.

영어초록

This research inquires closely into the details of the Chilseok poetry banquet as an seasonal and calendaric rituals and explores its possibilities as digitizing cultural heritages, from the viewpoint of cultural contents.
It is a ritual of the cycle tradition which repeats at the same time from the first month of the lunar calendar to the end, and has the basic property as the seasonalness, the periodicity and the circulation. The reason why the Chilseok poetry banquet is included in the seasonal and calendaric rituals of the Chilseok is that it is based on the season between late summer and early fall, and it has the periodicity and cyclability repeated on July 7th of the lunar calendar every year. The Chilseok poetry banquet as a seasonal and calendaric ritual of the Chilseok period was maintained and handed down from Koryeo to Joseon, to the first half of the 20th century.
Today, in the cultural content industry, stories are actively used as a single code. Taking into account the current trend of storytelling as a source of stories and techniques, the Chilseok poetry banquet is a traditional culture that can present the possibilities and prospects as cultural contents.
First, the Chilseok poetry banquet has a timeless peculiarity that makes it possible to acquire the 'special' meaning of recharging health, energy and joy. If someone adds a storytelling that emphasizes the timeless speciality of the Chilseok poetry banquet when planning a culture content based on seasonal and calendaric rituals, it will be able to acquire the meaning of recharging health, energy, and luck with money by going a step further from the existing one. Such 'special' meaning can be a great response to those who enjoy the culture contents based on seasonal and calendaric rituals in the Dream Society era.
Second, the Chilseok poetry banquet has a source narrative of the story of Gyun-woo and Jing-nyuh stimulates imagination and romance. There was a story in Chilseok poetry banquet. And this story has the potential to be made into various cultural contents. Most Koreans are very familiar with storytelling from childhood, and it is also a story shared by East Asia such as Korea, China, and Japan. It is also possible to plan cultural contents for Koreans as well as foreign tourists. In the past, the traditional Chilseok poetry banquet tended to accept the narrator 's story only slightly, so it would be necessary to encourage the audience to express.
