신화 속 섬을 통한 부부관계의 재구성-<성조푸리>와 <일월노리푸념>을 중심으로 (The Reconstruction of Marital Relationships through The Islands in Myth: Focusing on the Seongjofuri and Ilwolnoripunyeom)

초록

이 연구의 목표는 신화 <성조푸리>와 <일월노리푸념>의 섬에서 부부가 거리두기를 하는 동안, 부부간의 갈등이 어떻게 극복되는지 살펴보는 것이다. 이때 남편을 서사의 주체로 상정하고, 문학치료의 ‘부부 서사의 관계 지속’과 관련하여 논의를 진행하였다.
2장에서는 <성조푸리>와 <일월노리푸념>을 부부갈등의 서사를 분석해 보았다. <성조푸리>에 나타난 부부갈등은 첫째, 남편 안심국이 결혼의 의미를 경시하여 결혼 첫날부터 아내를 회피하였고, 둘째, 부부가 되었으나 아내 외에 다른 사람들과 관계를 맺으며 방탕하고 무절제한 무책임한 삶을 살았다. 그 결과 왕은 나라의 규범을 적용해 삼 년간 황토섬에서 유배생활을 명한다. 따라서 부부는 규범에 의해 부부 관계가 중지되었고, 섬에서 거리두기에 들어간다.
<일월노리푸념>에 나타난 부부갈등은 첫째, 남편의 게으르고 의존적인 태도는 가정 경제의 위기를 가져왔으며, 둘째, 남편의 어리석음은 생금 내기에 지면서 아내를 배선비에게 빼앗기는 위기를 초래했다. 따라서 남편은 아내에 의해 섬에 버려지고 부부 사이는 거리두기에 들어간다.
3장에서는 섬에 놓인 두 사람의 변화 과정을 살펴보았다. <성조푸리>에서 남편 안심국은 황토섬에서 사 년 가까이 홀로 놓여 죽음 같은 경험 후에 변화를 보였다. 먼저 안심국은 섬에 오기 전 회피했던 아내의 이름을 스스로 호명하면서 아내의 존재를 공표하고, 서천국을 떠나올 때 입었던 관대 자락을 찢으면서, 섬에 오기 전의 모든 삶을 버리는 태도를 보여주었다. 특히 편지를 쓸 때, 부모보다 먼저 아내에게 쓰면서 부부의 우선순위를 보여 주었다. 이처럼 안심국은 섬에서 회개와 거듭남을 통해 부부를 다시 세우는 남편의 모습을 보여주었다. 이런 변화 후, 안심국은 섬을 나올 수 있었고 부부의 거리두기는 해제되면서 기다리던 아내와 재회할 수 있었다. 이후 부부는 지속의 관계로 다복하게 살다 가정신이 된다.
<일월노리푸념>의 궁산이는 섬에 버려지면서 죽음 같은 경험 후에 변화를 보였다. 먼저 궁산이는 배고픔을 해결하려고 옷을 뜯는 적극적인 태도를 보였고, 이후, 옷 속에서 육포와 바늘과 실을 찾아내면서 아내의 진심과 소망을 깨닫고 게으름을 벗어날 수 있었다. 또한 위기에 처한 어린 학을 보살피면서 자연의 섭리를 익혀 지혜를 터득함으로써 어리석음을 벗어나게 되었다. 이후, 어미 학의 보은으로 섬에서 나오고, 기다리던 아내와 함께 부부가 재회하게 된다. 다복하게 살다가 가정신이 된다.
<성조푸리>와 <일월노리푸념>의 섬은 부부갈등으로 부부가 위기에 놓였을 때, 부부간의 갈등을 해소하고, 지속의 관계로 발전하는 계기가 됨을 확인할 수 있었다. 이 과정을 통해 부부관계가 재구성되면서 지속의 관계로 나갈 수 있음을 알게 된 것이다. 다만, 모든 가정 신화가 부부의 갈등과 회복을 보여 주는 것은 아니다. 아울러 본 논의를 통해 후속 연구가 이어지기를 기대한다.

영어초록

This study explore how marital conflict is overcome on the islands in the Seongjofuri and Ilwolnoripunyeom myths.
A assuming that the husband is the subject the narratives, this study discussion the “continuation of a relationship in an in depth story of a married couple” which was analyzed using Seongjofuri and Ilwolnoripunyeom In Chapter 2.
The marital conflict described in Seongjofuri is that 1) the husband, Ansimguk, neglected the meaning of marriage and avoided his wife from the first day of marriage, and 2) despite being married, had lived a life of debauchery and irresponsibility by having relationships with people other than his wife As a result, a king ordered him to be exiled to Hwangto island for three years according to the rules of his country.
His marital relationship ceased according to the rules and started to distance themselves on the island. The marital conflict shown in IIlwolnoripunyeom was that 1) the husband's lazy and dependent attitude brought about a financial crisis in the family, and 2) his foolishness caused a crisis of losing his wife to BaeSeon-bi as he lost his bet. As a result, the husband was abandoned by his wife on the island, and the couple begins to distance themselves.
Chapter 3, explored the trajectory of change in the two people on the isind In Seongjofuri, her husband, Ansimguk, was left alone on Hwangto Island for nearly four years and changed after experiencing a death-like experience.
First, he announced the existence of his wife whom he had avoided before coming to the island by calling out her name, and showed an attitude of throwing away all his life before coming to the island by tearing the hem he had worn when he left Seocheonguk. In particular, he wrote a letter to his wife first than his parents, revealing the couple's priorities.
Likewise, he showed the husband who rebuilds the couple through repentance and rebirth on the island. After this change, he could leave the island and reunite with his wife ending the couple's breakup. After that, the couple maintained a happy relationship and became the god of the family.
In Ilwolnoripunyeom, Gungsani changed after a death-like experience while being abandoned on an island.
First, he clothes to satisfy his hunger, and a then he found beef jerky, needles, and thread in his clothes, realizing his wife's sincerity and wishes, and could escape his laziness. Moreover, while caring for a young crane in crisis, he learned the providence of nature and wisdom, thereby freeing himself from foolishness. Afterwards, he left the island due to the repayment of kindness from the mother crane and the couple reunited and lived happily thereby, becoming a family gods.
The islands of Seongjofuri and Ilwolnoripunyeom serves as an opportunity to resolve marital conflict and develop into a lasting relationship when the couple is in crisis due to the conflict. Through this process, the marital relationships can be reconstructed a lasting relationship.
However, not all family myths demonstrate marital conflict and recovery. Therefore, further research will continue based on the discussion in this study.
