    초록

    Poetry and virtue start from the basic lack and fault as human´s limited entia. However, vertical eternal religion puts the perfect being, the God opposite from the human being, which have lack and fault, and assumes immortal life. The human being was relieved from the death by this religion but pay with death for a crime for their insufficient existence. The vertical eternal religion kills the death by the name of eternal life so that the religion came to kill the life as a result.
    By the way, the poetry and virtue discover the condition of original lack and fault and recognize them. From these, the human´s limited entia doesn´t work as a fatal defect any more. It is because death is not outside the human being but a part of human being. It is understood that life embraces death and life is completed through death. If the birth suggests the death, death also embraces the birth. We die while live and live while die. So, we can approach to the nothing by our existence and also can approach to the existence through nothing. Life and death, existence and nothing, lack and fullness, contradiction and affirmation coexist within us. This is the essence of human being.
    Of course, the poetry and virtue have obvious differences that each subject belongs to the part of art and religion. But the virtue aims to the internal discovery and call on human being´s existence not on eternity by the God. The finality of the virtue is to reach deliverance by raising the internal nature of Buddha through bravery and devotion. The scale of recognition toward oneself and world is in the internally existing entia not in the external absolute entia. So the base of virtue has the same characteristics with the base of poetry.
    However, if the poetry pursue the origin and true character of life through aesthetic self awareness, the virtue is free from the bible or acquaintance of characters. The study will search the relationship between the virtue and poetry through ‘poetic revelation and virtual nothing' and ‘virtual transcendence and poetic revolution' with the examples of modern poetry as a medium. The existence principal of relationship between poetry and virtue and the characteristic aspects could be helpful to understand in the modern poetry.
