形近字 ‘易와 昜’·‘內와 宂’의 자형 분석을 통한 嶽麓書院藏秦簡 校釋과 문자 연구 (Interpretation and Character Research of the Collection of the Yuelu Academy based on the Analysis of the Shapes of Visually Similar Characters: ‘易(yì) and 昜(yáng)’ and ‘內(neì) and 宂(rǒng)’)

초록

본고에서는 嶽麓秦簡에 보이는 ‘易과 昜’·‘內과 宂’, 두쌍의 형근자 자형 분석을 통해 嶽麓秦簡 서사자의 誤記 또는 釋文 작성자의 考釋 오류를 찾아내 校釋하고 해당 간문의 정확한 이해를 돕기 위한 韓譯을 덧붙였다.
秦簡의 易과 昜은 자형이 매우 비슷하나 日과 勿사이에 가로획 하나 유무로 구분되어진다. 易에는 중앙에 가로획이 없지만 昜에는 하나의 가로획이 존재한다. 두 글자의 이러한 차이점에 의거하여 본고에서는 세 부분의 석문을 교석하였다. 첫째, 嶽麓秦簡(壹)J39正의 석문에서 賜로 예정하고, 月+易으로 고석한 글자를 본고는 ‘月+易’로 예정하고, ‘腸’로 교석하였다. 둘째, 嶽麓秦簡(伍) 1669·1809·1849·1850·1851·1857·1892 죽간의 석문 ‘賜’를 ‘貝+昜(賜)’로 수정할 것을 건의하였다. 셋째, 嶽麓秦簡(壹)0007·(壹)0052·(叁)0477·(叁)1646+1648+2182·(叁)1649·(肆)1945正 죽간의 ‘陽’을 ‘阝+易(陽)’로 교정하였다.
內는 入과 宀, 宂은 人과 宀의 결합으로 구성되어 있고, 入과 人의 자형이 秦文字에서 빈번하게 혼용되어 쓰고 있기에 內와 宂 역시 秦簡에서 비슷하게 쓰고 있다. 본고에서는 嶽麓秦簡에 보이는 內와 宂의 자형 분석을 통해 양자의 차이점은 入이 宀 안으로 깊숙이 들어간 것은 內, 人의 하부가 宀 바깥으로 나온 것은 宂일 것이라는 가정을 하였다. 그러나 이러한 차이점은 두 글자를 구분하는데 항상 적용할 수 없음을 발견하였으며 죽간의 내용과 어휘에 근거해 두 부분의 오석을 찾아내어 수정하였다. 첫째, 嶽麓秦簡(伍)1149+C4-3-7正의 原釋者가 ‘内<宂>’로 고석한 글자를 ‘宂’으로 교정하였다. 둘째, 嶽麓秦簡(肆)1362正+J28의 ‘內’를 ‘宂’으로 교석하였다.

영어초록

This study analyzes the shapes of two pairs of visually similar characters—‘易(yì) and 昜(yáng)’ and ‘內(neì) and 宂(rǒng)’—seen in the Collection of the Yuelu Academy to find typos by the author or erroneous interpretations by the annotation writers and correct and interpret them. A Korean interpretation has been added to ensure the correct understanding of important sentences.
易(yì) and 昜(yáng) seen in the Collection of the Yuelu Academy are very similar in terms of character shape, and they are distinguished from each other by the presence of one horizontal stroke between 日(rì) and 勿(wù). 昜(yáng) has one horizontal stroke in the center, while there is no such stroke in 易(yì). Based on the difference between the two characters, this study corrected and interpreted three parts of annotations. First, the character determined as 賜(cì) and interpreted as has been determined as and interpreted as 腸(cháng) in this study. Second, this study suggests correcting 賜(cì) in the annotations written on the bamboo slips (1669, 1809, 1849, 1850, 1851, 1857, 1892) of the Collection of the Yuelu Academy (伍) to (賜(cì)). Third, this study has corrected 陽(yáng) written on the bamboo slips ((壹)0007, (壹)0052, (叁)0477, (叁)1646+1648+2182, (叁)1649, (肆)1945 of the Collection of the Yuelu Academy) to (陽(yáng)).
內(neì) is composed of 入(rù) and 宀(mián), and 宂(rǒng) is composed of 人(rén) and 宀(mián). As 入(rù) and 人(rén) are often used interchangeably in the Qin characters, 內(neì) and 宂(rǒng) have similar shapes in the Collection of the Yuelu Academy. This study analyzed the shapes of 內(neì) and 宂(rǒng) seen in the Collection of the Yuelu Academy and based on the analysis, made an assumption that if 入(rù) is deep into 宀(mián), the character is 內(neì) and if the lower part of 人(rén) is outside 宀(mián), the character is 宂(rǒng). However, it was found that the difference in shape is not always applicable in distinguishing the two characters. Based on the content and words of the bamboo slips, this study found erroneous interpretations in two parts of the Collection of the Yuelu Academy and corrected them. First, the character interpreted by the original commentator as 内(neì)<宂(rǒng)> in (伍)1149+C4-3-7正 has been corrected to 宂(rǒng). Second, 內(neì) in (肆)1362正+J28 has been corrected to 宂(rǒng) with an interpretation.
