    초록

    What is the essence of Technology? and What is the essence of Human? In this paper, I would like to interpret for gaining a free relation between human and technology. According to Heidegger, the ‘essence of technology’ is not mechanical or (in the instrumental sense) ‘something technical’ as we commonly think so. Technology is rather a method of finding the truth and forming the world. It is the force that reveals a matter hidden to us. Furthermore Heidegger explain such ‘essence of technology’ of today is a provocative challe nge(Herausfordern) and a enframing(Ge-stell). Technology challenges human to scold all the other beings (creation) that are standing across from the human. And it places those beings in front of human, manufactures and turns them into products. More so, it incites human to commercialize even themselves.
    Something that the traditional way of human understanding cannot fathom has become reality. How can the human be treated as a machine accessory? How can sex which is a big factor of the compl etion of the individual Heart and of home be transacted with money? And how can sex, in the form of swapping, be looked as a tool for curiosity and recreation? These situations have become daily events that happen openly in our lives. Technology has turned all these events into something not surprising. No one comes forth to question because there is no knowing when your privacy could be violated and when you could be the product of technology. Technology turns the human into one without patience. It makes all beings look like the object of order and regard the life of pursuing efficiency and practicality as the worthiest life. Technology changed our view of existence, our view of the world. No more can the mystery or secret of existence or the magnificence or mystery of nature surprise or awe us. Human becomes more and more a manufacturer not a thinker. Thus such Homo Technicus’ (technological human) way of being can be expressed as the following: ‘I manufacture, therefore I am.’
    Technology, as the outcome of human creativity, has developed continuously with the passing of time. In the post-modern age of technology-culture that is represented as the Internet, technology has determined all logic and grammar of our lives. Now, whether we like it or not, we must live along with the Internet (technology), against the Internet, and overcome the Internet. What we need now is not regarding technology which is represented as the Internet as something evil or a carry on a campaign, shouting we should return to primitive society. Science and technology are processes in which man demonstrated his creativity, intending to reveal the essence and fundamental principle of the material world and human world. There fore science and technology will keep on developing. On the matter of the development of such science and technology, Heidegger sugge sts to regard the problem of human’s responsibility and release life to human creativity as together. In the philosophy of Heidegger, the authenticity of human’s life is emphasized prior to the completion of dominion. This means that genuine technology is rendered possible through genuine release life.
