    One of the frequently raised issues is not to be taught in relation to Korean history and World history. It is caused by teaching it with separate textbooks as Korean history and World history are separate subjects in a present curriculum.
    Generally learning together Korean history and another history or world history is the way to understand the history more effectively and lead to the right comprehension of it. Despite it, the common sense of the learning history remains only a slogan because the investigation of the principles with contents and the constructed ones and depictions of textbooks aren't done well. On the other hand it is taught without distinction of Japanese history and World history in middle school and high school in Japan. Therefore one can think that one get suggestions from History Education in Japan.
    Specially we have a problem to be solved immediately. New curriculum announced in Feb. 2007 was changed and a 'History' course was created in tenth grade classes. The points are ① it is about recent and contemporary history. ② it makes Korea history to be grasped independently with the stream of World history. Namely two features are expected that one is it includes the view of World history and the other is it makes Korean history comprehensible.
    So it is asked to develop a model of the constructed contents which involve these features. But they have not been yet because these history textbooks which meet a requirement: 'Comprehend Korean history with a view of World history.' are introduced first in curriculum. We should make it clear to know what it is that the constructed contents that one understand Korean history including view of World history before we develop textbooks.
    To get a clue which show that this study is under consideration with an example, Japan. It consists of textbooks: its focus is that Japan's history education is based on the understanding of their own history in relation to World history. Japanese situation corresponds with tenth grade Korean history class. It is thought to get a few suggestions as a result of an analysis.
    This report will confirm how Japanese history with World history is understood through a precedent study. And it will explain concretely the constructed contents that 'We understand Korean history including view of World history.' by analyzing government guidelines for teaching and representative textbooks. Finally it will consider a suggestion and limit for constitution of 'History' for 10th graders.
