빛 번짐을 적용한 블러색채의 특성 연구 (A Study on the Characteristics of Blur Color Application of Blur Light)

초록

역사적으로 빛은 계속 탐구되어 왔다. 특히 뉴미디어의 대중화는 빛에 대한 관심을 확대시켰으며, 과거에 주로 시각콘텐츠의 일부로써 색채를 바라보는 소극적 관점에서 탈피하는 계기를 마련하였다. 그러나 여전히 뉴미디어 색채 연구는 디지털 기술에 초점이 맞춰져 있거나, 디지털 특성에 가려져 매우 기초적 단계에 머물러 있다. 그러므로 본 연구는 한 순간도 정지되어 있지 않은 빛의 속성을 토대로 빛 번짐에 주목하여 색으로 환원되는 블러색채의 영향력에 대하여 논하려고 한다.
블러색채는 빛 성질에 따라 광원 혹은 발광체로부터 오는 빛의 파장인 광원색(unrelated color), 물리적인 물체에 반사되어 보이는 빛의 파장인 물체색(object color), 그리고 물체를 투과하여 보이는 빛의 파장인 투과색(transparent color)의 개념에서부터 출발한다. 이러한 성질에서 블러색채는 다음과 같은 속성을 갖는다. 첫째, 실시간으로 움직이는 빛에 의해 대상색채와 배경색채는 동시에 지각되거나, 상호작용으로 각각의 영역이 모호해짐으로써 조형성이 약화된다. 둘째, 지속적으로 변화하는 빛 번짐의 진행 속도는 고정의 단색을 획득하기 어려움으로 균질성이 증발한다. 그러므로 과거의 주로 사용되던 색의 측정과 색 자체의 산출 값은 무의미하게 된다. 셋째, 대상색채와 배경색채는 번지는 빛과 서로 뒤섞여 색채의 재편성이 이루어진다. 따라서 색채는 끊임없이 콜라주화 되어 새로운 색채의 형상으로 재편집된다.
이러한 블러색채는 조형성의 약화로 연결성, 빛의 수축과 이완의 반복을 통한 연속성, 차원과 영역의 혼성으로 시공간이 파편화되는 무형성의 요소를 바탕으로 일루전(illusion), 그러데이션(gradation), 이멀전(immersion)의 특징이 있다.
본 연구를 통해 블러색채의 개념이 21세기의 주요 콘텐츠인 이미지 연구에 초석이 될 것으로 기대하며, 보다 다양한 방면에서 구체적으로 활용하기 위해서는 지속적인 연구가 필요하다고 생각한다.

영어초록

The purpose of this thesis is to explore how to make use of the blur light and expression methods to light movement by considering the representation techniques and characteristics of a variety of 'Blur Color' in visual contents of painting, photo, architecture and digital media that thought the light as unrelated color, object color, transparent color. Therefore in keeping such developments, blur color has been perceived as the object of another tool in visual contents and has provided us with new views by providing various program, sensor and screen from digital media.
And the process is summarized as follows: First, study on the relationship between light and color, classify effect and type of blur light by movement, trace, and speed. Second, consider the characteristics and expression methods of the blur light in the varied visual contents. Finally, organize the expression element, expression technique and expression type of blur color, and then present light physical movement by light.
According to this, the results and as follow: First, blur color by the blur light that the plasticity is weaken of vaguish area, the transition is unfixed of homogeneous reactor and the collage is of reorganization and texture of light and shadow according to the contrast of shades and the change of materiality, thus visual contents with the blur light as the medium approach that helps to flow and trace. Second, blur color by the blur light of distinguishes the flow and movement of sight, and expression inducing visual contents with the light as illusion, gradation, immersion of image through concentrated or overlapped mass of light and darkness. Finally blur color by the blur light of the light source visualizes the existence of the uncertain light, and the receptive synchronism with the time as being that impermanence and contract and atony meaning through blur light of colored light.
Meanwhile, the features of blur color such as sense of depth from viewpoint changes, hybrid from collapse of order, media metamorphosis from reconstitution and interaction from uncanny can be inferred from case analysis.
