上堡村類型의 변천과 성격 (The Transition and Characteristic of the Jimingcheng Culture Pattern)

초록

기존 견해들은 세형동검문화의 분화과정에서 요동지역의 문화요소들이 한반도의 서북지역으로 전이되는 점을 주목하지 못하였다. 여기서는 요동 동부지역을 중심으로 한반도의 서북지역까지 나타나는 ‘상보촌유형’의 세형동검문화에 주목하여 후기고조선의 물질문화를 다시 생각해 보았다.
상보촌유형은 동대장자유형-정가와자유형과의 직간접적 상호작용을 통해 성립하였으며, 전국연계 물질문화를 수용하여 더욱 발전한다. 토광묘와 석축묘가 모두 확인되며, 석축묘의 경우 적석시설이 부가되어 있는 점이 특징이다. 청동유물에는 검ㆍ과ㆍ모 등의 청동무기와 다뉴조세문경이 확인되며, 엽맥문ㆍ사격자문 등의 문양들이 유행하는 점이 특징이다. 또한 토착 토기류와 함께 점토대토기발과 평저장경호는 물론 두형토기가 널리 확인되는 점도 주목된다.
상보촌유형은 전국 중기(요동 1기) 무렵 천산산맥 일대에서 성립하며, 전국 후기(요동 2기)에는 혼강유역과 한반도의 서북지역까지 확산된다. 이때에는 두 지역을 결속시켜 주는 관계망이 강화된다. 서한 초기(요동 3기) 이후 요동 동부지역은 혼강유역을 중심으로 관계망이 재편되고, 한반도의 서북지역은 한국식 세형동검문화가 요령식 세형동검문화를 대체하는 과정에서 급격하게 쇠퇴한다.
그러므로 전국 후기 단계 후기고조선의 물질문화는 상보촌유형과 밀접하게 관련되는 것으로 판단된다. 이는 고조선과 연의 경계라고 하는 ‘만번한’을 천산산맥 서변으로 보는 선학들의 연구 성과와도 부합된다. 한반도의 서북지역은 요령식 세형동검문화와 한국식 세형동검문화가 교차하는 점이지대이며, 고조선은 요하 방면에서 한반도의 서북방면으로 후퇴하였다는 점을 충분하게 고려해야 한다.

영어초록

The existing viewpoints, however, did not pay attention to the fact that the cultural elements of the Liaodong region were transferred to the northwestern area of the Korean peninsula in the process of division of the Slender Bronze Daggers Culture. The present study reconsidered the material culture of the latter part of Go-joseon focusing on the Slender Bronze Daggers Culture of ‘Jimingcheng Culture Pattern,’ which mostly appeared in the Eastern region of Liaodong as far as the northwestern area of the Korean peninsula.
The Jimingcheng Culture Pattern was established based on indigenous cultures such as Zhengjiawazi Culture Pattern and further developed by accepting the material culture of Yan system. Both pit tombs and stone tombs were found, and the stone tombs were characterized by the addition of stone mound installation. Among the excavated artifacts, a combination of weaponry such as bronze daggers, bronze halberds, and bronze socketed spearheads, and bronze mirrors with two or three knobs were found, and patterns such as leaf patterns and slanting checkered pattern were in fashion. In addition, earthenware is characterized by widely found bowls with clay stripes and mounted dishes.
The Jimingcheng Culture Pattern was established in Tienshan Mountains in the middle of the Warring States Period(the 1st period of Liaodong) and proliferated into the Hun River basin and the northwestern area of the Korean peninsula in the latter part of the Warring States Period(the 2nd period of Liaodong). At that time, the relationship network connecting the two regions was strengthened. After the earlier Han(3rd period of Liaodong), the relationship network in the eastern part of Liaodong was reorganized with the Hun River basin in the center, and the Korean Type Slender Bronze Daggers Culture gradually replaced the Liaoning Type Slender Bronze Daggers Culture in the northwestern area of the Korean peninsula.
Therefore, the material culture of the latter part of Go-joseon is judged to be closely related to the relationship network of the Jimingcheng Culture Pattern. It is consistent with the results of previous studies that consider ‘Manfanhan’, which is believed to be the border between Go-joseon and Yan, to be the western border of the Tianshan Mountains. The fact that the northwestern area of the Korean Peninsula was the transitional zone where the Liaoning Type Slender Bronze Daggers Culture and the Korean Type Slender Bronze Daggers Culture were crossing should be fully considered.
