조현병과 신병(神病)에 대한 사주명리학적 고찰 (A perspective SajuMyeonlihak on Schizophrenia and Shinbyung)

초록

본 연구의 목적은 조현병과 신병(神病)의 개념, 원인, 증상 및 치료 방법을 비교 분석하 여 두 질환의 유사점과 차이점에 대해 고찰하고자 한다. 본 연구의 필요성은 조현병과 신 병에 대한 사주명리학적 고찰에 대한 연구는 두 질환을 이해하는 데 필요하다고 본다. 본 연구의 목적은 조현병과 신병에 대한 사주명리학적 접근에 대한 기초자료가 되고자 한다.
조현병은 뇌 신경전달 회로의 기능장애로 인해 발생하는 정신질환으로, 주요 증상으로 망상, 환각, 와해한사고, 비정상적운동행동등의양성증상과감퇴한정서표현및무의욕 증등의음성증상이있다. 조현병의주요원인은뇌내도파민과잉및신경전달물질의불 균형이며, 주로 10대 후반에서 30대 초반에 발병한다. 치료는 주로 약물치료와 인지행동 치 료를 통해 이루어진다. 반면, 신병은 무속적 관점에서 강신무가 되는 과정에서 신이 내리는 현상으로 발생하는 병적 증상으로 간주된다. 발병 시기와 원인은 무작위적이며, 치료는 주로 무속 의식인 내림굿을 통해 이루어진다. 두 질환은 환각과 환청 등의 정신질환적 증상 을 포함하여 유사점을 보이나, 신병은 주로 전신마비, 심폐기능 장애, 극심한 두통 등의 신 체적 증상이 두드러진다. 또한, 조현병의 치료는 의학적 접근이 중심인 반면, 신병은 무속적 치료가 주를 이룬다. 명리학적인 오행의 관점에서 두 질환을 비교 분석한 결과, 조현병은 목(木), 화(火), 토(土)의 기운이 편중되어 있고, 신병은 토(土)의 기운에 편중됨을 알 수 있었 다.

영어초록

The purpose of this study is to compare and analyze the concepts, causes, symptoms, and treatment methods of schizophrenia and Shinbyung (神病) to examine the similarities and differences between the two conditions. The necessity of this study arises from the need to understand schizophrenia and Shinbyung through a Korean fortune-telling perspective, providing a foundational approach to these disorders. Schizophrenia is a mental disorder caused by dysfunction in neural transmission circuits in the brain. It is characterized by positive symptoms such as delusions, hallucinations, disorganized thinking, and abnormal motor behavior, as well as negative symptoms like diminished emotional expression and avolition. The primary causes of schizophrenia include an excess of dopamine and neurotransmitter imbalances in the brain, with onset typically occurring between late adolescence and early adulthood. Treatment mainly involves pharmacotherapy and cognitive-behavioral therapy. In contrast, Shinbyung is interpreted from a shamanistic perspective and is considered a pathological phenomenon that occurs during the process of becoming a shaman, where it is believed that a spirit descends upon the individual. The onset is random, and its causes are considered fate-related according to shamanistic beliefs. Treatment is predominantly conducted through shamanistic rituals such as naerimgut. While both disorders share similarities in psychiatric symptoms like hallucinations and auditory hallucinations, Shinbyung prominently features physical symptoms such as paralysis, cardiopulmonary dysfunction, and severe headaches. Additionally, the treatment of schizophrenia focuses on medical approaches, whereas Shinbyung relies on shamanistic practices. From the viewpoint of the Five Elements (Wu Xing) theory in Korean fortune-telling, schizophrenia is associated with an imbalance predominantly involving wood (木), fire (火), and earth (土), whereas Shinbyung is heavily influenced by earth (土). These elemental characteristics are linked to the symptoms of each disorder. Therefore, by clearly identifying the similarities and differences between schizophrenia and Shinbyung, this study aims to contribute foundational data for understanding these conditions and for future research and development of treatment methods.
