초록

20세기의 시문학은 모더니즘의 세계이다. 문학은 다양해지고 더 복잡해지게 되는데 특히 시에서는 주관적이며 개인적 모티브를 사용하여 형식이라는 구조와 완성에도 관심을 기울였다. 마찬가지로 우크라이나 시문학에서도 이러한 경향은 모더니즘, 데카당스, 상징주의, 신낭만주의, 미래주의 등 여러 이름으로 붙여져 형성되었다.
본 글은 모더니즘의 태동부터 양차 대전기와 60-70년대를 거쳐 체재전환을 전후로 한 전반적인 우크라이나 현대시의 변화양상과 흐름을 살펴본다.
다른 여타 쟝르보다 우크라이나의 시는 무엇보다 당대 직면한 사회상을 깊숙이 반영하고 있다. 한때 문단의 보편성을 주도한 이주문학이 그러하며 서독을 근거로 활동했던 ‘무르’ (우크라이나 예술운동; Мистецький український рух)가 이를 대변한다.
유럽과 미주의 모더니즘적 미학을 모델로 50년대를 구가한 ‘뉴욕그룹’(Нью-Йоркці)과는 대조되게 토종 우크라이나 시적 경향을 고수한 ‘60세대 시인’(Шістдесятники)들의 반 체재 저항정신 또한 그러하다.
사회주의체재에서 고통 받은 세대와는 다르게 이제 오늘날 문학, 문화적 논쟁은 비할 데 없이 복잡하고 다음향적이다. 포스트 모더니즘시대에 고전은 더 이상 유효하지도 존재하지도 않게 된다. 특히 서구모델과 트랜드를 기반한 대중문화적 현상이 강력히 밀려왔다. 우크라이나 문학도 예외는 아니어서 예술적이고 미학적 발전을 거듭한 문학이 시대와 세대를 통하여 여러 형태로 완결과 변이를 거듭하지만 80년대까지 우크라이나 현대시문학에 드러나는 민족과 국가에 대한 선언, 다시 말해 문학의 사회적 역할은 그 어떤 해외문학과는 또 다른 형태로 뚜렷이 차별화된다.

영어초록

The Ukrainian poetry in the 20th century has testified to the European orientation of Ukrainian culture, which has made it possible for it to preserve its identity despite political pressure from various countries.
For Ukrainian poetry, the previous cenutry was a period of Modernism, its root start the last decade of the 19th century. There were makings clear the conceptional basis of irrationalistic philiosophy, stimulated a new starting in literature in linkage with nonclassicism. The literary groups, 'Moloda Muza' in Lviv and 'Ukrainska Khata' in Kiev were the first circles of the this kind, based on such a stream.
The 1920s and the 1930s gave birth to a sole phenomenon in ukrainian poetry with the division into two or even three branches: the poetry of Eastern Ukraine, Western Ukraine and Ukrainian emigration in Prague, Warsaw. Specially the Prague school has much in common with the poetry of the 1920s and is marked with the greater influence of the literary and artistic atmosphere of Poland and Czech of that time.
An association of Ukrainian writers manifested itself the search for new ways in the next decade. The New York Group of poets was formed and it oriented toward the aesthetics of the American and Western European Modernism of that time. They desired to create literature according to the ideas and forms of the Western Literary milieu. The feature common to all members is the surrealistic manner of the majority of their works, based on psychological automatism, conscious omission and mixing of time and space relations.
While the Poets of the Sixties, so called "continental Ukraine" rejected official tendentiousness, and involved rearranging the broken chain of the tradition. The poetic distinction of the 1960s consists in the fact that it was an integral part of the social and cultural movement which opposed the political regime.
The Kyiv School of poetry which began writing at the end of the 1960s, but had to cease their activity for almost 20 years. This generation demonstrates the denial of stereotypical poeticisms and operate with semantic, sound and intonation.
During the last decade of the century, this period is also remarkable for the emergence of various groups, which exhibit features of post-modernism. The members of 'Bu-Ba-Bu', 'LuHoSad' and 'Propala Hramota' has belonged to here and searched for intertextuality, rereading of tradition parody, the rejection of a tone of pathos.
