일본 고훈시대 살포의 형식과 시기별 양상 (The Formality and Aspects of salpo In Japan's Kohun Periods)

초록

본 연구는 일본열도 고훈시대의 고분에서 출토되는 철제 농구 중 한반도와 깊은 관련이 있는 살포에 대해 검토한 것이다. 일본열도에서 살포는 고훈시대 전기부터 종말기에 이르기까지 비교적 오랜 기간에 걸쳐 출토된다.
고훈시대 전기의 살포는 전체 크기 및 신부 형태, 공부의 제작기법 등이 한반도 남부지역에서 출토되는 것과 동일하다. 비록 초현 시기와 관련된 문제는 있지만, 당시 일본열도와 한반도 사이에 이루어졌던 경제적인 문물 교류 속에서 유입된 것으로 파악하였다.
고훈시대 중기는 고구려의 남하정책으로 인해 한반도 남부지역, 특히 낙동강 하류역을 중심으로 기술을 가진 사람들이 열도로의 이주가 발생한다. 때문에 중기 전반에는 고훈시대 전기와 마찬가지로 한반도 남부지역에서 제작된 것이 유입되었다. 그러나 중기 중반 이후부터는 열도 내에서의 환경에 적응하여 그 환경에 맞게 제작이 이루어진다. 이를 보여주는 것이 소형화된 크기의 살포이며, 이는 열도 내에서 재료 수급의 문제와 공방과 관련된 작업 환경이 제한되었음을 의미하는 것으로 보았다.
고훈시대 후기는 고훈시대 전기와 중기를 거치면서 지속적으로 한반도에서 제작된 것이 유입되어 들어오는 한편으로 중기 중반 이후 열도 내에서의 환경에 적응해 가는 도래인들로 인해 단야와 관련된 기술이 조금씩 발전되고 있음을 확인할 수 있다. 이는 단야 및 제철과 관련된 단야구로 확인되는데, 5세기 후반 이후에 성행을 맞이하기 때문이다.
고훈시대 종말기는 한반도와의 교류를 살펴볼 수 있는 고고 자료도 급속히 줄어든다. 시기적인 차이가 확인됨에도 불구하고 한반도에서 출토된 자료와 유사한 형태가 확인된다. 일본 환경에 완전히 적응하였음을 보여주는 동시에 단야 및 제철의 기술이 비약적으로 발전하였음을 의미하는 것으로 파악하였다.
한반도에서 살포는 4세기대에 등장하여 6세기 중엽 이후 고분에의 부장은 소멸하지만, 중세와 근세를 거쳐 현대에 이르기까지 사용되는 농구이다. 그러나 일본에서는 7세기 중엽 이후로는 완전히 자취를 감춰 소멸하는 농구로, 한반도와 달리 필요를 느끼지 못하였다고 생각된다. 이러한 점에서 살포는 논의 물꼬를 트거나 막을 때 사용하였던 실용적인 농구라기보다는 한반도에서 도래해 간 집단의 매장 풍습과 관련이 있는 것으로 생각해 볼 수 있다.

영어초록

This study is of examining Salpo, which has a deep connection with the Korean Peninsula among iron farming tools excavated from ancient tombs in the Kohun periods. Salpo in the Japanese archipelago was excavated over a relatively long period of time from the early Kohun periods to the late Kohun periods.
In the early period of the Kohun periods, the overall size of the Salpo, the shape of the bride, and the manufacturing technique of the part of a body are identical to those excavated in southern Korea. Although there are problems related to the initial period, it was found to have flowed in through economic cultural exchanges between the Japanese archipelago and the Korean Peninsula at the time.
In the mid-Kohun periods, due to Goguryeo's southward policy, people with skills centered on the southern part of the Korean Peninsula, especially the Nakdong-River, migrate to the archipelago. Therefore, in the first half of the mid-term, as in the early period of the Kohun periods, those produced in the southern part of the Korean Peninsula were introduced. However after the middle of the Kohun periods, production is made according to the environment within the Japanese archipelago. Showing this is a miniaturized salpo, which means that the work environment related to the supply and demand of materials and workshops within the Japanese archipelago has been limited.
In the late Kohun periods, it can be seen that technologies related to blacksmith are gradually developing due to the arrival of people who are adapting to the environment in the archipelago after the middle of the Kohun periods through the early and middle periods of the Kohun periods. This is confirmed as a blacksmith's tool related to blacksmith and ironmaking, as it has become popular after the second half of the 5th century.
During the end of the Kohun periods, archaeological materials that can look at exchanges with the Korean Peninsula are also rapidly decreasing. Despite the fact that the timing difference is confirmed, a form similar to the data excavated from the Korean Peninsula is confirmed. It was found that it showed that it had fully adapted to the Japanese environment, and at the same time, it meant that blacksmith and steel technologies had developed dramatically.
In the Korean Peninsula, salpo appeared in the 4th century and the burial site of ancient tombs disappeared after the mid-6th century, but it is a farming tool used from the Middle Ages and modern times to modern times. However, in Japan, it is a farming tool that completely disappears after the middle of the 7th century, and unlike the Korean Peninsula, it is thought that there was no need. In this respect, salpo can be considered to be related to the burial customs of groups that originated from the Korean Peninsula rather than the practical farming tool used to open or block the water of the price field.
