反兴与反衬的中国古代修辞学史研究 (A Study on the Ancient Chinese Rhetoric History of "Fanxing" and "Fanchen")

초록

"반흥(反興)"과 "반츤(反襯)"은 아주 많이 사용하고 매우 중요한 수사법으로 "반대 기흥(起興)", "반대 친탁(襯托)", "반대 부각"이라는 뜻이다. 그 사상의 연원은 『역경(易經)』의 음양 사상에 이미 함축되며, 역사가 유구할 뿐만 아니라 우주의 모든 사람과 일의 철학을 포함하고 있다. "반흥"은 "반츤"의 기원이지만 여태까지 "반흥" 연구가 아주 적은 편이다. "반흥"은 주로 『시경(詩經)』의 예술 수법의 비평에 사용되고 본 연구에 의하면 가장 먼저 원(元)나라 때 나타났다. 명(明)부터 청(淸)까지, 심지어 현대에 이르러 각 『시경』의 주석 평가에서 보인다. "반츤"은 명(明), 청(淸)소설의 평론에서 비롯되었고 20세기 이후 지금까지 중국의 국민 교육에서 대량으로 사용해 왔다. 현재는 당시(唐詩)· 송사(宋詞) 등 고시(古詩)를 평가할 때 가장 많이 쓰다. 또한, 1930년대부터 비약적으로 발전한 중국 현대 수사 연구에서도 비교적 풍부한 성과가 있었다. 하지만 있는 연구가 연구자의 수의적 선택과 이해로 해석한 용례 연구나 대비 수사법과의 구별 연구 등에만 집중되었다.
필자가 2022년에 지도 교수님 안남일을 교신 저자로 연구한 「중국 고전 시가 수사법으로 본 <동경 이야기>」의 학술대회 논문 외에 현재 한국, 일본 학계는 "반흥"과 "반츤" 연구가 전혀 없는 상태이고 중국 학계는 "반흥"과 "반츤"의 수사학적 역사 연구가 완전히 공백 상태이며 심지어 "츤(襯)" 자의 유래와 의미를 언급하지 않고 있다. 이에 본문은 이 두 가지 수사법의 중국 고대 수사 평론 역사의 개척적인 연구를 진행하여 발전의 역사적 원형을 그려낸다. 중국 고대는 청(淸)과 청(淸) 이전 시대를 가리킨다. 고대 수사는 고대 문체나 백화문으로 평론되어 이해에 어려움이 있어 현대문으로 해석하였다. 그리고 고대의 평론은 간결해서 생략된 것이 많고 특히 고소설 평론에서 앞뒤 줄거리를 아주 간단히 언급만 하는 것에 대해 비교적 상세한 해석을 보충하였다.

영어초록

"Fanxing" and "Fanchen" are very common and extremely important features of rhetoric, which means "reverse qixing" , "oppositely set off" and "reverse characterization". Its ideological origin can be traced back to the Yin-Yang thought of the Book of Changes. It not only has a long history, but also contains the philosophy of all people and things in the universe. "Fanxing" is the origin of "Fanchen". However, there has been very little research on “Fanxing” so far. "Fanxing" is mainly used to criticize the artistic techniques of the Book of Songs. According to the investigation of this paper, it was first seen in the Yuan Dynasty, and it was scattered in the annotations of the Book of Songs in the Ming, Qing Dynasty and even in modern times. The "Fanchen" was born in the commentary of Ming and Qing novels. It has been widely used in the Chinese national education since the 20th century and is currently used most often to evaluate ancient poems such as Tang poetry and Song poetry. There are also relatively rich studies of "Fanchen" in the modern rhetoric research in China. However, existing research has focused only on use-case studies made by the researcher's voluntary choice and understanding or studies that distinguish them from contrast rhetoric.
Except the academic conference paper titled “<Tokyo Story> from the perspective of Chinese classical poetry rhetoric” that I studied with my advisor, Professor Nam II An, as a correspondence author in 2022, Currently South Korea and Japan academia have no "Fanxing" and "Fanchen" studies at all. And China have no any research on the history of rhetoric of "Fanxing" and "Fanchen", and even the origin and meaning of the word "chen" are not mentioned. Therefore, this article has conducted a pioneering study on the history of ancient Chinese rhetoric criticism of these two figures of speech, outlining the historical original appearance of their development. "Ancient China" refers to the Qing Dynasty and before the Qing Dynasty. Ancient rhetoric criticism are in classical Chinese or vernacular Chinese, which is not easy to understand. This article has explained them in modern Chinese. And ancient criticisms are often omitted because they are concise. In particular, relatively detailed interpretations were supplemented for only mentioning the plot before and after concisely.
