스페이스 염색된 한지사 편성물의 제작과 물성 평가 (Manufacture and Property of Knitted Fabric Using Space Dyed Hanji Paper Yarn)

초록

Space dyed yarn is characterized by diverse color patterns with at least two different colors on one skein. When woven or knitted together, the fabric patterns can be expressed depending on the different length and variation of each color band. To commercialize Hanji knitted fabric with space dyed ply yarn, in the study, three types of Hanji/cotton, Hanji/silk, and Hanji/polyester ply yarn were prepared and dyed by injecting an atomized spray of reactive dyestuff. Combination of Hanji yarn and other yarn gave relatively good effects on the tensile property and knitting ability of the ply yarn. The different patterns of irregular intervals, which is inferior appearance of cloth, were emerged on the knitted fabrics with Hanji/silk and Hanji/polyester ply yarn. Such methods as extension of injecting dyeing time, selection of alternative knitting order from 3∼4 paper tubes, and preparation of union knitted fabric can sufficiently improve the irregular patterns. On the evaluation of color fastness to washing, rubbing, perspiration, and dry-cleaning, all of the knitted fabrics showed excellent values of grade 4～5, but were a grade 3∼4 to light resistance. To increase color fastness to light, union knitted fabric with excellent light resistant yarn or relevant selection of knitting structure may be applied. Therefore, it is expected that the combination of space dyed ply yarn with Hanji yarn and other yarn can contribute to the creation of new end-uses in clothing field.
