초록

(연구배경 및 목적) 중국원림은 역사가 유구하며, 오랜 역사적 발전 과정을 거쳐 독특한 중국 원린 체계를 형성하였다. 중국 고전 원림은 세계 원림역사에서 중요한 위치를 차지하고 있으며, 심오한 문화적 의미, 선명한 민족적 특색, 뛰어난 예술적 수준을 가지고 있다. 고전 원림은 중국 원림 예술의 중요한 영역으로서 다양한 분야에서 연구되고 있지만 더욱더 심도 있는 연구가 필요하다. 특히 명청(明清) 시대 강남지역의 개인 원림에 대한 조원(造園)의 예술적 경지는 자연미, 건축미, 회화미 등의 문학예술이 유기적으로 융합되어 있어 원림 예술의 정수를 보여주고 있으며 그 중에서도 강남 원림은 동양 원림의 기초로써 세계 원림의 발전에 큰 영향을 미쳤다. 본 연구는 중국 고전 원림의 발전전성기였던 중국 명청(明清) 시대 강남지역에 만들어진 개인 원림에 대한 구성요소와 분석과 원림 기획의 구성요소 비율 비교를 통하여 원림의 디자인 특성을 연구한다. (연구방법) 첫째, 문헌 열람과 자료 수집을 통해 명청(明清) 시대 강남지역의 개인 원림의 개념과 연구범위를 명확히 하였다. 둘째, 연구 대상 범위의 명확성을 위해 〈유네스코(UNESCO)〉, 〈세계 유산 명부(World Heritage List)〉 중 4A급 이상 등급인 졸정원(拙政園)), 망사원(網師園), 유원(留園) 3개 원림을 연구 대상으로 선정하여 분석하였다. 셋째, 선행 연구 및 문헌자료 분석을 통해 고전 원림의 공간 구성요소로서 건축, 수공간, 산석, 식물의 4개 요소를 추출하고 연구 내용을 명확히 하였다. 넷째, 3개 원림에 대한 원림 구성요소의 차이점과 공통점에 대해 조사 연구하였으며 원림 구성요소간의 관계를 분석하였다. (결과) 본 연구는 중국 명청(明清) 시대의 강남지역에 만들어진 개인 원림에 대한 구성요소의 분석연구로써 졸정원(拙政園), 망사원(網師園), 유원(留園)을 연구 대상으로 선정하여 진행하였다. 이러한 연구결과를 통해 원림의 설계 요소에 대해 체계적으로 이해하였다. 중국 고전 원림의 문화유산이 가지고 있는 기초 데이터를 제공하고자 한다. (결론) 고전 원림의 보호와 전승은 국제적으로도 매우 중요한 문제이므로 고전 원림에 대한 계승과 발전은 원림디자인이 지속적으로 발전하기 위해 반드시 필요한 과정이라고 할 수 있다. 디자인의 측면에서 고전 원림 구성 요소를 분석하고 원림 요소들의 관계를 비교 분석 함으로써 원림의 디자인 특성을 명확히 정리하여 고전 원림의 계승과 현대 정원의 발전에 일정한 이론적 참고를 제공한다.

영어초록

(Background and Purpose) Chinese gardens have a long development history and have created a unique Chinese garden system. Chinese classical gardens, with profound cultural connotations, distinctive national characteristics, and superb artistic levels, occupy an essential position in the history of world gardens. Although classical gardens, an important aspect of Chinese garden art, are being studied in various fields, further in-depth research is required. In particular, the artistic level of private gardens in the Jiangnan area, built during the Ming and Qing dynasties, epitomize the essence of garden art, organically fusing natural beauty, architectural beauty, and painting beauty. Among them, the Jiangnan gardens, the basis of Eastern gardens, have greatly influenced the development of gardens globally. This study compares the proportions of elements in garden planning and studies the design characteristics of gardens through the analysis of the constituent elements of private gardens in the Jiangnan area of China during the Ming and Qing Dynasties in the heyday of Chinese classical gardens development. (Method) Firstly, through literature review and data collection, the concept and research scope of private gardens in the Jiangnan area during the Ming and Qing dynasties were clarified. Second, to ensure the clarity of the research scope, three gardens, including the Humble Administrator's Garden, the Master of Nets Garden, and the Lingering Garden, rated 4A or above in the UNESCO World Heritage List, were selected as research subjects. Third, four spatial components of classical gardens: architecture, water space, rocks, and plants, were extracted through a literature review to clearly define the research content. Fourth, the differences and commonalities between the components of the three gardens were investigated and the relationship between the components of the gardens was analyzed. (Results) This study analyzes the components of three private gardens: the Humble Administrator's Garden, the Master of Nets Garden, and the Lingering Garden, created in the Jiangnan area during the Ming and Qing dynasties. The results of these studies provide a systematic understanding of the design elements of gardens. This study aims to provide basic data on the spatial characteristics of the cultural heritage of Chinese classical gardens. (Conclusions) The protection and inheritance of classical gardens is a crucial issue worldwide, so the succession and development of classical gardens are necessary for the continuous development of garden design. The analysis of the constituent elements of classical gardens from a design perspective, the comparative analysis of the relationships between garden elements, and the clarification of the design characteristics of gardens all provide certain theoretical references for the inheritance of classical gardens and the development of modern gardens.
