초록

본고는 정의홍 시인의 ‘배역시(配役詩)’에 나타나는 어조와 퍼소나를 살피는 것을 목적으로 한다. ‘배역시(配役詩)’는 시인 자신의 직접적인 목소리가 아니라 어떤 작품 속의 특정한 인물을 통해 생각과 느낌을 전달하는 시를 가리킨다. ‘배 역시(配役詩)’는 작품 속 발화 행위 주체의 어조와 퍼소나의 지배를 받는 것이 특 징이다. 하지만 발화 주체 대상의 성격에 자신을 무분별하게 일치하게 만드는 것 이 아니라 비판적 거리를 성립하게 한다. 즉 ‘배역시(配役詩)’의 원본(原本)에서 선택한 인물의 어조나 퍼소나는 일치시키되, 주제 의식이나 상황 등은 현실적 문 제를 대입하여 재현한다. 그래서 ‘배역시(配役詩)’에 드러나는 시적 화자는 허구 적 화자에 가깝고, 직설적 어조로부터 해방될 수 있고, 시의 성격에 걸맞은 퍼소 나를 선별적으로 차용해서 자전적 화자의 한계로부터 분리될 수 있게 된다. <수로 부인의 고백 1>, <수로부인의 고백 2>에서 정의홍 시인의 시적 자아는 여성 화자 의 배역(配役)과 어조를 통해 드러난다. ‘수로 부인’이라는 배역(配役)의 설정은, 남성 중심적 지배 이데올로기가 점유하는 부정적 현실에 대응하여 여성의 사회적 정체성을 부각하고 있다. 남성적 권력의 폭압적 행태에 저항하는 방법으로서 여성 화자 안의 남성적 기질을 지닌 퍼소나를 내세우고 있다. <말뚝이>는 ‘탈춤’이라는 가면극 형식을 내적 장치로 구성함으로써 사회 비판적이고 직설적 발언이 여과 과정을 거치며 미적 효과를 거둘 수 있었다. 아울러 사회적 약자를 대변하는 ‘말 뚝이’라는 탈을 쓴 배역(配役)의 어조를 통해서 모순과 허위로 위장된 진실을 신 랄하게 조롱하고 풍자하는 공격적 퍼소나를 충분히 활용하고 있다. <온달의 울 음>에서 정의홍 시인은 ‘온달’이라는 배역(配役)의 어조를 통해서 자기 비하와 자 기 모멸에 빠진 퍼소나를 역설적 어조로 드러낸다. 자기 비하와 자기 모멸의 반복 적인 어조 자체는 저항적이고 도전적인 태도를 드러내는 장치로 강조하고 있다. 이렇게 정의홍 시인은 허구적 화자를 통해서 직설적 어조의 부담에서 해방되고 주제와 문맥을 창조한다. 또 배역(配役)으로 선택한 작품과 인물의 감수성에 맞는 퍼소나를 유감없이 드러낸다. 이 과정에서 정의홍 시인은 스스로 현실적 자아로부 터 분리된 퍼소나를 가질 수 있게 되었다. 정의홍 시인은 배역시(配役詩)를 쓰기 이전의 시가 메시지 전달과 강조에 집중되었다면, <수로부인의 고백1>, <수로부 인의 고백2>, <말뚝이>, <온달의 울음> 등에서는 배역시(配役詩)의 고유한 특성 으로 메시지는 약화되는 반면 비장미와 해학과 풍자를 수용하게 되었다. 이로써 배역시(配役詩)라는 내적 장치 안에서 내용과 형식이 윤색 과정을 거치며 현대시 의 미적 효과까지 성취할 수 있게 되었다. 배역시(配役詩)의 가치와 의미는 이런 지점에서 찾을 수 있다.

영어초록

The purpose of this paper is to examine the tone and persona that appear in the titled ‘Rollengedichte’ by Chung Eui-hong’s pertry. ‘Rollengedichte’ refers to a poem that conveys thoughts and feelings through a particular character in a piece, not directly the voice of the poet himself. For this reason, ‘Rollengedichte’ is dominated by the tone and personality of the subject of the inciting action in the work. However, it does not indiscriminately match the personality of the subject, but it creates a critical distance. In other words, the tone or persona of the person selected in the original of the original station is matched, but Topic consciousness, situation, etc. is reproduced by substituting realistic problem. Thus, the poetic speaker who appears in the poem ‘Rollengedichte’ is more like a fictional speaker, can be liberated from a straightforward tone, and can be separated from the limits of the autobiographical speaker by selective borrowing of the persona suitable for the nature of the poem. The poet Chung Eui-hong's poetic self is revealed through the roles and tone of the female narrator in the “In the first and second episode of Mrs. Suro’s confession”. The setting up of the role of ‘Mrs. Su-ro wife’ highlights the social gender identity of women in response to the negative reality occupied by the male-dominated ruling ideology. As a way to resist the tyrannical behavior of masculine power, Fusona, which has a masculine temperament in female speakers, is advocated. The mask play “Malddugi” is an internal device, social critical and straightforward remarks were able to have an aesthetic effect through the filtration process. In addition, through the tone of the role of a ‘Malddugi’ that represents a socially underprivileged, he takes full advantage of an aggressive persona who scoffs and satirizes the truth disguised as contradiction and falsehood. In “Ondal’s cry” poet Chung Eui-hong, paradoxically reveals the person of his tone of humiliation and self-destruction through the tone of the role ‘Ondal’. The repetitive tone of self-degradation and self-destruction is emphasized as a device that reveals a resistant and challenging attitude. In this way, the poet Chung Eui-hong is freed from the burden of straightforward tone through fictional speakers and creates themes and contexts. It also reveals the persona that suits the sensitivity of the work and character chosen for the cast. In this process, poet Chung Eui-hong was able to have a personal Persona separated from his real self. Poet Chung Eui-hong. This allowed us to achieve the aesthetic effect of modern poetry through the embellishment process of contents and form within the inner device of the ‘Rollengedichte’.
