麻線 高句麗碑의 書體와 金石學的 問題點 (A Study on Calligraphy and Epigraphy about Maxian Monument of Goguryeo)

초록

이 글은 2012년 6월 하순 中國 集安 麻線河에서 발견된 麻線碑에 대한 중국측 “集安博物館” 발표와 한국에서 “韓國古代史學會”와 여러 학자들이 발표한 내용과 논문들을 살폈다.
특히 書體와 金石學적으로 지금까지 논의된바 없는 글을 논제로 삼았다.
중국의 발표에 처음부터 의혹과 僞碑에 대한 논쟁이 일어났다. 중국 耿鐵華의 주장과 달리 그동안 철저한 검증이 없었고, 발견일자와 서체 금석학적 문제점에 대하여 필자는 깊은 의문을 제시하였고 마선비에 대한 공개적인 검토를 주장하였다. 이런 상황에서 한국고대사학회와 일부 학자들은 碑.石에 의문을 제기한 소수학자들의 여론과 여러 가지 정황증거와 拓本에 대하여 최소한의 확인조차 하지 않았다. 전문학계의 연구자들이 아니라는 이유로 지금까지 철저히 무시당해 왔다. 반면 그들은 중국측 경철화의 논리만 일방적으로 지지하고 추종하고 있는 실정이다. 본고에서는 지금까지 이러한 모순점에 대하여 필자가 직접 집안 현지를 답사하였고, 최초 발견자와 대화, 그 주위의 환경과 채석장 등에서 상세하고 주도면밀하게 파악한 모든 상황을 근거하여 僞碑로 단정 짓게 되었다. 또 마선비의 서체 분석과 특정에 대하여 논하고 마선비의 탁본을 제시하여 중국 “文物報拓本”과 비교 검토도 하였다.
한국 관광객이 촬영한 동영상도 확인하였다. 필자 소장 탁본(중앙일보 2013. 3.13. 발표) “丁卯年 刊石 戊子”에 대한 文句는 張福有의 논증과 일치하여 模本이 아님도 확인되었다. 그리고 비석의 석질과 금석학적 해석, 아울러 한·중간의 歷史性에 대한 양국의 상호 다른 인식과 견해에 대하여 그 차이점을 설명하였다.
이상과 같은 내용을 종합적으로 살펴본 결과, 지금 신 집안박물관에 전시된 마선비는 原形이 심하게 훼손되고 마석하여 原碑의 실체를 알아보기 어렵게 되었다. 그리고 마선비는 아직까지도 중앙정부와 고구려사의 권위있는 연구자들로부터 인정받지 못하고 있는 실정이다. 이같은 사실은 비석에 대한 해석이 중국의 학자들 간에도 논리가 정리되지 않아 최초 발표에 신뢰를 잃었다. 또 다투어 공명심을 쫓다보니 그들 스스로가 불신의 씨를 키웠다고 할 수 있다.

영어초록

In this thesis, it shows the various contents and theses about the Maxian Monuments discovered in the latter part of 2012 at the near Maxian riverside, Ji'an between the opinions of the Chinese Ji'an Museum Authorities and those of many Korean scholars of the “Academic Institute for Korean Ancient History." And especially it indicates that there are many different types of Chinese calligraphy and different styles of epigraphy that have not been discussed up to now.
From the beginning, we know that there have been a lot of doubts and arguments about the false monument in the Chinese publications. On the other hand, I have persistently insisted, contrary to Chinese Kyung Chul-haw's claims, that there should be many doubts about the date discovered and calligraphy itself and “Stone and metallography' inscrived in the Monument and that the Maxian Monument should be publicly reexamined by the Authorities. I also claimed that there should be a thorough investigation of the various problems of - characters inscribed and its calligraphy on the Maxian Monument published in Chinese official publication, “文物報", showing the Chinese characters inscribed in a copy of Maxian Monument.
Seeing a photo taken by a Korean tourist and a copy of my characters inscribed (published by Juang Daily Newspapers on the date of March 1st, 2013), the phrases “丁卯年刊石 戊子", were exactly matched to the evidence presented by 張福有 one another. It proves that my characters inscribed was found “not genuine."I examined the difference between the quality of a stone and metallic translation and also emphasized that there must be the mutual differences and deep misunderstandings about the historical understanding between the two countries, China and Korea.
According to the overall result of the above-mentioned judgement, it proves that the original form of Maxian Monument now exhibited at Ji'an is badly damaged and worn away and we can assume there is no possibility to distinguish the genuine from the false. And moreover, the Maxian Monument itself has not been acknowledged by the authorized historians of Koguryo and the Chinese central government authorities.
Thus, we can understand, on account of the various opinions among the Chinese scholars, that there are plenty of different kinds of arguments among the Chinese scholars themselves and that they have finally lost their mutual trust from the Chinese scholars. It seems that, owing to their exceeding desire for fame, they have finally come to the mutual distrust.
