어린이병원의 바이오필릭 디자인 특성에 관한연구 (A Study on the Characteristics of Biophilic Design in the Children's Hospitals)

초록

(연구배경 및 목적) 현대인들의 건강에 대한 높은 관심은 질병 예방과 치료율을 높인다. 그러나 어린이들은 성인에 비해 면역성이 낮고 다른 정서적 욕구를 가지고 있음에도 불구하고 의료기관을 성인용과 함께 이용하고 있어 세균에 감염될 확률도 높고 경직된 병원의 환경에 정서적 불안감도 높다. 이에 본 연구는 어린이 질환에 맞는 의료시설과 심리에 맞는 치료환경의 필요성을 인지하고 선행연구들의 고찰과 치료적 환경이 잘 조성된 해외사례를 통해 현재 국내 어린이병원에서 바이오필릭 디자인 특성의 적용 정도를 알아봄으로서 향후 어린이 병원 설계 시 치유 적 디자인 연구의 토대를 마련하고자 한다. (연구방법) 연구의 범위는 어린이를 대상으로 진료하는 국내 어린이 병원 중 중증을 치료 할 수 있는 상급 이상 3차 의료기관을 대상으로 한다. 연구의 방법은 첫째, 공식화 된 문헌고찰을 통해 연구 대상 병원 공간과 사용자 어린이의 정의를 규정한다. 둘째, 바이오필릭 디자인의 치료적인 특성요소를 축출하여 분석 모형을 제시한다. 셋째, 선정된 어린이 병원들을 분석매트릭스로 분석한다. 넷째, 사례분석의 종합 결론에 이른다. (결과) 자연광과 녹색 식물을 사용한 (E.F)가 가장 높으며 외래 의료 공간과 서비스 공간에 표현하였다. (L)은 일반창과 커튼월로 빛의 유입을 확산시켰다. (N.S)는 자연의 오브제적 표현이 외래 쪽에서 자연의 특징을 모방하며 나타났다. (NP)은 4곳 모두 낮게 나타났으며 연결공간인 복도에서 감각의 변동성이 나타난다. (P)는 전시공간에서 장소의 혼이 나타났다. (E)는 4곳 모두 실내외 조경공간에서 전망이 나타났으며 응급실 병상에선 피난처가, 예배 실에선 정신성과 영성이 나타났다. (결론) 첫째, 어린이전문병원의 개설조건을 의료법에 의거하여 정의하였으나 어린이 병원에 대한 구체적인 법적 제정이 필요하다. 둘째, 국내 어린이 진료 병원은 E.F와 L로 알파파를 유도함으로서‘편안함, 안정성, 쾌적성’을 고려하고 있다. 셋째 어린이의 두려움을 줄이는 요소로 NS와 E가 적용되어‘심미성, 소통성을 고려하였으나 색채 매뉴얼과 새로운 컨텐츠가 필요하다. 넷째, 2 군데병원에서 응급실의 환자 과밀화와 감염루트 문제를 환자별, 단계별로 분리하여 해결하고 있었다. 이는 많은 상급병원으로 확산 실행되어야 한다. 본 연구는 국내 어린이병원에서만 사례 분석을 하는 한계점을 지녔기 때문에 심도 있는 바이오필릭 특성 연구로는 우리보다 앞서 시작한 해외사례들과 비교하는 연구가 추가로 필요하다.

영어초록

(Background and Purpose) The current high general interest in health has led to an increase in the prevention and treatment of disease. However, children use the same medical institutions despite their low level of immunity compared to adults and their different emotional desires. Under these circumstances, children's hospitals are increasingly necessary. This study aims to lay the foundation for curative design research in the design of children's hospitals by identifying the current application level of the characteristics of biophilic design among domestic children's hospitals through the deliberation of advanced research and investigation of overseas cases for well-equipped therapeutic environment with the recognition of needs for medical facilities suitable for children's diseases and the provision of therapeutic environments. (Method) The scope of research includes high-level tertiary care medical institutions that are able to deal with severe diseases among domestic children's hospitals. The research methods are as follows. First, the hospital space and research subjects are defined by examining official literature. Second, an analysis model is presented by extracting the therapeutic characteristics of biophilic design. Third, selected children's hospitals are analyzed with an analysis matrix. Fourth, conclusions are drawn from case analysis. (Results) (E.F), using natural light and green plants, is the highest and is expressed in the outpatient department space and service space. (L) spreads the entrance of light with a regular window and curtain wall. In the (N.S), the expression of natural objects copies the characteristics of nature from the outpatient department. (NP) shows the lowest in all four points, while sensory change is indicated in the corridor as connective space. (P) shows the spirit of space in the exhibition space. (E) shows a view is a major trait in the indoor and outdoor landscaping space of all four points, while the sickbed of an emergency room indicates a shelter, and a chapel shows spirituality and divinity. (Conclusion) First, in this study, children's hospitals are defined in accordance with the Medical Service Act; it is necessary to enact more concrete legislation regarding children's hospitals. Second, domestic children's hospitals consider "comfort, stability, and pleasantness" by inducing α-wave through E.F and L. Third, while "aesthetic elements and communication" are considered by applying NS and E to reduce anxiety for children, it is necessary to prepare color manuals and new contents. Fourth, two hospitals deal with patient overpopulation and infection routes in the emergency room by classifying issues by patient and stage. This solution should be further disseminated and implemented in other high-level general hospitals. As this study has the limitation of only analyzing domestic children's hospitals, further studies should be conducted to compare this data with advanced overseas cases for in-depth biophilic research.
