본고에서는 역사철학의 세계를 어떻게 이해할 것인가 하는 문제의식에서 출발한다. 그 사례로서 양만리의 의리역학에 주목하고 역학과 사학의 접점에서 역사정신의 강령을 집중적으로 살펴본다. 양만리는 역사정신의 천인합일의 보편적 이념을 기조로 하여 道統의 聖人史觀의 맥락에서 역사철학의 안광이 번득인다. 역학과 사학의 본질적 관계에 접근하는 과정에서 義理의 해석의 삼중적 구조에는 引史證易의 원칙, 明易達史의 방법 및 理史合一의 원리가 있다. 양만리는 역사의 발전에서 천리의 그 법칙의 존재를 모색하고 역사의 이상적인 발전의 유형을 확립하고자 하였다. 이러한 역사철학의 문제의식은 송대라는 개별적 역사현상에서 도출된 것이다. 그럼에도 불구하고 그는 역학의 논법을 활용하여 역사의 가치와 판단의 규준을 논의함으로써 역사철학의 지평을 열어놓았다. 역사의 사실과 가치에 중점을 둔다는 점에서 역사철학의 정신을 추구하며 역사콘텐츠의 맥락에서 이해될 수 있다.

영어초록

The essay is focused on how we can understand Yang Wan-li’s Yin-shi-zheng-yi Doctrine. The key point is the world of Li-shi-he-yi from the perspective of historical contents as one of the methodologies for Yi-li Changeology. This is based upon the internal relationship between changeology and history, and interprets the Commentaries of Zhou-yi based on historical events or facts. There are three complex structure in explicating the character of shi-shi changeology in his Yili changeology: the rule of yin-shi-zheng-yi, the method of ming-yi-da-shi and the principle of li-shi-he-yi. They can be respectively classified into the glance of history recognition, the dimension of historical consciousness and the horizon of historical philosophy. In particular, the third horizon of historical philosophy is oriented toward a new trend of historical contents. Yang Wan-li tries to find the historical spirit in the thinking way of changeology on the premise that Zhou-yi is a kind of historical book. In the process of interpreting Zhou-yi, he emphasizes humanistic thinking and its social realization, and tries to derive historical teachings from sagehood according to the spirit of the times. From the viewpoint of Ming-yi-da-shi, changeology provides theoretical law to history, while history provides practical historical data to Chageology. Yang Wan-li described historical examples as narrative theories through the methodology of Yin-shi-zheng-yi. In it, he reveals the historical spirit in the context of Sagehood history and seeks an integral boundary where joins the sage spirit and the historical spirit. In an integral unity of changeology and history, beginning in the understanding of Yi-li changeology, he searches for the absolute spirit of Tian-li in the context of the historical consciousness. This methodology, aiming at administrating the state to make a practical application, provides a basis for advancing to the academy of Chinese history at the dynasty of Qing.
