초록

江戸時代の代表的な俳人松尾芭蕉の終焉を素材としている『枯野抄』は、芥川龍之介の作品の中では比較的初期に当るが、死を見つめる視線の重さは決して軽くない。『枯野抄』は夏目漱石の死をモチーフとしており、死という素材は、彼の初期の代表作である『羅生門』から後期の作品に至るまで、さまざまな形で扱われている。又、芥川は複数の作品を通して松尾芭蕉という人物と彼の人生への深い共感と尊敬を示している。テキストで描かれている芭蕉が示す生と死の風景は芭蕉のものでありながら、同時に芥川の視線でもあるのである。 既存の先行研究が弟子たちのエゴイズムを通して芭蕉の孤独を論ずることに重点を置いているのに対して、本稿では、偉人としての芭蕉ではなく人間芭蕉の姿に焦点を当てている。先ず、作家が『枯野抄』を構想する時に参考にしている『花屋日記』との比較を通して、芭蕉と弟子たちを眺める両作品の視線の違いを調べ、芭蕉が持つ身体性に注目している。続いて、テキストに引用された芭蕉の俳句と彼の臨終をめぐる周辺の風景を通して、生と死の境界を眺める視線と、自然の一部としての死の意味について探っている。

영어초록

The "Kareno Sho", which is based on the death of the famous haiku poet Matsuo Basho in the Edo period, is comparatively early in the works of Akutagawa, but the weight of the gaze toward death is never seen lightly none.
'Kareno Sho' is the motive of the death of Soseki Natsume, and the material of death is handled in various works ranging from his early representative works 'Rachomon' to his later works. The artist also shows his deep sympathy and respect for the character and life of Matsuo Basho through various works. Basho in the text shows the life and death scenes of Basho, but also the sight of Akutagawa.
The previous research focuses on the loneliness of Basho through the egoism of his disciples. However, this article focuses on the appearance of human Basho, not the Great Basho. In comparison with the Hanaya Diary, which the writer used to refer to as 'Gareno Sho', he noticed how the gaze of Bisho and his disciples differed between the two works, and paid attention to Basho's physicality. I also looked at the eyes surrounding human death, not the death of great men. In the following, I looked at Basho's Haiku quoted in the text and the surrounding scenery surrounding his death to look at the boundary between life and death and the meaning of death as part of nature.
The text shows ordinary human death through the artist's gaze that loves the contradictions of the human Basho. The death is not just an abatement, but a human being with dignity, who accepts his life and death. Despite his young age, Akutagawa has escaped from the typical mindset of separating life and death. It shows the providence of nature, the coexistence of life and death, and shows a keen and warm eye toward human beings.
