초록

Saigyo is called a poet of cherry blossoms and the moon. He is also called a wandering poet who admires transience of life. His waka is loved by all the ages til today because it does not only contain literary value but also popular appeal.
This research covers “SAIGYO-HOSHI-KASHU” which is one of Saigyo’s collection of poems. The original version of this collection of poems can not be found however the majority of his texts are being introduced. Among them, the manuscript possessed by Rikatemoongo is now being used as a representative text. But the formal possession of Rikatemoongo is having a few problems since it was not examined thoroughly by the textual criticism.
Based on this, we compared and looked through the differences in the manuscripts such as the formal possession of Rikatemoongo. And doing so, we could confirm that the formal possession of Rikatemoongo has its own textual characteristic. Moreover, we made a proposal about making revision through textual criticism.
The achievement of this research is that it enables us to read the works about “SAIGYO-HOSHI-KASHU” smoothly and we can furthermore expect the secure credibility of work research.
In addition, we can look through both how Japan’s classic literature was enjoyed and changed variously in epic culture based on research result.
This would be the key opportunity which encourages the readers not to rely heavily only on texts which is widely known to popularity but to have subjective and multilateral view about Japan’s classic literature
