중국 푸젠성 문화를 융합한 흙보루 건축 특성 연구 - 토루(土樓)와의 비교를 중심으로 - (A Research on the Characteristics of Earthen Fortress based on the Convergence Culture of Fujian Province in China - To Compare with Chinese Traditional Common Housing Tulou)

초록

푸젠 흙보루(土堡)는 토루(土樓)와 구별되는 또 다른 보채식(堡寨式) 민가로, 푸젠성 중부 지역에 분포한다. 전통주거공간의 역사적, 미학적, 문화적 가치를지니고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 푸젠성 건축 문화를 바탕으로 혼동하기 쉬운 토루(土樓)와의 비교를 통하여흙보루의 기본 현황과 건축 특성을 도출하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 흙보루의 건축형식을 총결한 본 연구는 전통주거공간인 흙보루의 특색있는 자원을 보호, 개발, 이용하는 데 도움이 되며, 세계문화유산 등재를위한 이론적 기초를 제공한다.
흙보루와 토루의 비교분석을 통해 건축문화 및 기능 등에서 확연한 차이를 보임을 알 수 있었다. 토루는 하카 이주 과정에서 생겨난 집거 건축이고, 흙보루는 방어와 주거 기능 결합한 융합적 건축이다. 또한, 대표적인 흙보루인 비파보(琵琶堡), 방련보(芳聯堡), 안정보(安貞堡)에 대해 분석을 진행한 결과는 다음과같다. 첫째, 흙보루의 공간 기능은 주거와 방어를 겸비한 융·복합성을 가지고 있다. 이에 서양의 성(城)과유사하지만, 민간인의 생활 공간이다. 둘째, 산지형에순응한 건물로 외관 양식이 원형, 사각형, 불규칙형등으로 다양하다. 셋째, 건축기술과 구조의 특수성을지닌다. 거대하고 두꺼운 외벽은 생토 다지기 기술을사용하며, 점식방어와 선형방어의 구조로 설계된다.
넷째, 흙보루는 동아시아의 유가(儒家) 및 도가(道家) 문화와 농경문화와 관련이 깊다.
본 연구를 통해 흙보루와 토루를 명확히 구분하며, 흙보루와 같은 특색있는 건축물의 이해를 풍부하게할 것으로 기대된다.

영어초록

Fujian Earthen Fortress is another kind of fort village-type residential house different from the tulou, distributed in the central part of Fujian Province. With the historical, aesthetic, and cultural value of the traditional living space. Based on the architectural culture of Fujian Province, the basic status and architectural characteristics of the Fujian Earthen Fortress. This study of the architectural form of the Fujian Earthen Fortress is helpful to protect, develop and utilize the characteristic resources of the traditional living space, and provide a theoretical basis for the registration of world cultural heritage.
Through the comparison of Fujian Earthen Fortress and Tulou, there are obvious differences in the architectural layout and architectural culture of tulou and tubao. The Tulou is a residential building produced in the process of Hakka migration, and the Fujian Earthen Fortress is a residential building that combines defense and residential functions. The representative Fujian Earthen Fortress of BiPa Fort, Fang Lian Fort, and Anzhen Fort are analyzed. The results are as follows. 1) The construction function of the earth fort has the integration of both residence and prevention. It is the living space for the common people,and Similar to the Earthen Fortress in the west. 2) Adapt to the mountain buildings, the appearance of the round, rectangular, irregular, and other diverse. 3) With the particularity of architectural technology and structure. In order to build the huge and thick exterior walls, raw soil compaction technology is used, which is designed for point defense and linear defense. 4) Fujian Earthen Fortress has the Confucian culture, Taoist culture, and farming culture of East Asia. Through this study, it is expected to clearly distinguish the Earthen Fortress from the Tulou, and to enrich the understanding of characteristic buildings such as Earthen Fortress.
