포스트모던 복음주의 교회론의 분석비평을 통해서 본 교회론 교육의 새로운 지평 (A Critical Analysis on Postmodern Evangelical Ecclesiologies in Searching for a New Horizon of Ecclesiology Education)

초록

본 연구의 핵심 논지는 포스트모던 복음주의 교회론에 대한 비평적 수용을 통해서 교회론 교육의 새로운 지평을 열어야 한다는 주장이다. 모더니티의 영향을 받은 기성교회의 제한성에 대한 대안으로서 미래교회는 탈계층구조적이고, 평면-관계적이며, 유기체적이고, 지구촌적인 차원의 교회가 되어야 한다는 주장이다. 이 논지를 주장하기 위해서 모더니티 성향을 갖고 있는 교회의 문제점을 지적하고, 새롭게 나타나고 있는 포스트모던 교회의 가능성을 살펴보았다. 포스트모던 복음주의 교회를 분석하고 비평하면서, 새로운 시대의 교회론 이해와 교회론 교육의 진전에 일조하고자 하는 것이 본 논문의 핵심적 주제이다.

영어초록

Contemporary churches, that experience postmodern trends, are facing challenges from the failures of modernity such as hierarchical system, logocentric Christian education, individualistic trend, and fashion of Western or Euro-centric influences. Those churches, that did reaction to the contemporary churches, are Emerging Church, Organic Church, and Global Church. This essay critically analyzed those churches and challenges of modernity for a possible advancement of ecclesiology education for this coming epoch.
The postmodern evangelical churches take functional flat system instead of hierarchical one, body and spiritual action rather than logocentric Christian education, socio-relational community instead of individualistic spirituality, and global church of GloboChrist. The functional flatism, body and spiritual action, and global church are postmodern in their characteristics.
In critical analysis on postmodern evangelical churches, this essay points out that the functional flat system would be an ideal rather than realistic, because in the history of Christian church there has never been a flat system of the Church. In the case of Korean church, Western modern church introduced the equality of people or flatness of individual rather than hierarchical system into Korean society, that already has culturally hierarchical system.
However, nowadays Korean church wears position-centered hierarchical cloth which is even stronger than Western system, because she had been indigenized by the influence of Confucian hierarchical culture. This essay postulated that in a sense a hierarchical system could be effective and functional for the church growth, as it has been exposed in a long history of the church in the world. Yet, this essay insists a balanced one between the functional flatism and hierarchical system.
Other than those, this essay rubricated the characteristics of the body and spiritual action, socio-relational community, and global church of GloboChrist, that need to be incooperated into Christian ministry for flourishing development and advancement of the Church. Finally, a new horizon of ecclesiology education was exposed in the essay for further elaboration based those so crucial facts of the postmodern evangelical ecclesiologies, for a possible advancement of Christian education.
