문화콘텐츠로 본 진관사 태극기 기념사업 (A Study on the Commemorative Project of Jinkwansa Taegeukgi from the Perspective of Cultural Content)

초록

본 논의는 진관사 태극기를 소재로 이를 문화콘텐츠적인 관점으로 그 가치를 어떻게 발굴해 내고 활용할 것인가를 조명하였다. 이를 위하여 브랜딩의 관점과 문화콘텐츠의 개발과 활용이라는 두 가지 측면으로 접근하였다.
브랜딩의 관점으로 보면 진관사 태극기는 국기라는 관점에서 국가브랜드로 자리 잡게 하는 것과 지역브랜딩으로 이끌어가는 것에 대해 제시하였다. 향후 태극기를 중심으로 한 다양한 차원의 브랜드 자산을 이끌어 낼 필요가 있으며, 다양한 문화콘텐츠 개발로 이어 질 수 있다. 진관사 태극기는 지역브랜드로서 그 가치와 내용을 지니고 있다.
현재 진관사가 지니고 있는 강점 가운데 하나인 공간+체험기반형 콘텐츠를 강화하고, 내용성을 채우기 위해서 태극기 콘텐츠 개발이 필요하다. 템플스테이와 수륙재라는 훌륭한 자산을 가지고 있으므로 이를 활용할 수 있는 방안을 고민하였다.
진관사 태극기를 콘텐츠로 개발하기 위해 원천자료의 획득과 파생콘텐츠, 응용콘텐츠 개발이라는 단계적 전략을 수립할 것을 제안을 하였다. 태극기 콘텐츠의 활용 방안은 문화관광 스토리텔링과 진관사 관련 인물의 이야기 복원이 있다. 백초월의 삶, 만해, 용성 등 선각자들의 교류의 복원과 스토리텔링을 통해 이를 재해석해야 한다. 특히 진관사 수륙재가 담고 있는 연희적인 요소와 결합된다면 이것이 새로운 공연콘텐츠로 전환이 가능한 출발점이 될 것이다. 향후 진관사가 가지고 있는 장소의 확장성을 매개하는 진입공간에 열려진 체험교육 공간의 구축이 필요하다.
태극기는 하나의 소재(One Source)이지만, 그 가치와 활용은 태극기와 관련된 복합적인 소재의 개발과 활용(Multi Use)을 염두에 두어야 한다. 나아가 진관사는 물론 태극기와 관련된 복합적인 소재(Multi Source)를 가지고 중층적이고 복합적인 활용(Multi Use)을 해야 할 것이다.

영어초록

This study explored the potential ideas and ways of identifying and utilizing the values of the Jinkwansa Taegeukgi from the perspective of cultural content, taking a two-pronged approach of branding and cultural content development and utilization.
The study first proposed to making Jinkwansa Taegeukgi a country brand because of its status as the national flag and building it as a local brand from the perspective of branding. There is a need to find brand equity of multiple dimensions in Taegeukgi and develop a variety of cultural content with it. Jinkwansa Taegeukgi has the required value and content as a local brand.
It is required to develop Taegeukgi content to reinforce the space- and experience-based content of Jinkwansa Taegeukgi as one of its strengths and fill up the room in its content. In the study, the investigator strived to find ways to make use of temple stay and Buddhist service for the deceased in land and sea, some of its outstanding assets.
Also proposed in the study was making a step-by-step strategy of obtaining the sources and developing derivative and applied content in an effort to develop Jinkwansa Taegeukgi as content. One of the ways to utilize the Taegeukgi content is to restore the stories of the figures related to Jinkwansa as well as cultural tourism storytelling. The life of Baek Cho-wol and the exchanges among the forerunners including Manhae and Yongseong should be restored and presented in the storytelling format for reinterpretation. When they are combined with the festive elements of Jinkwansa's Buddhist service for the deceased in land and sea, it will be a potential starting point for conversion into new performance content. It is also required to make an open space for experiential education in the entry space mediating the spatial expandability of Jinkwansa.
Although Taegeukgi is one source, its values and uses should be based on the development and utilization of multiple materials related to it(multi-use). Furthermore, it is proposed to put the multiple sources related to Jinkwansa and Taegeukgi to multi-layered and complex uses.
