대학등록금 조달 방식별 휴학요인의 영향력 분석 (Analysis of the Factors and the Impact of Experience of Stop-Out by the Procurement of College Tuition Way)

초록

이 연구는 대학등록금 조달 방식에 따른 휴학경험 요인과 그 영향력의 차이를 살펴보고자 한다. 이 연구는 대학등록금 조달 방식을 ‘부모’, ‘장학금’, ‘학자금대출’, ‘본인’ 방식으로 그룹화하고, 개인특성, 대학특성, 대학교육만족도, 대학생활로 4가지 휴학요인을 구분하였다. 이 연구는 한국고용정보원의 2021년도 대졸자 직업이동 경로조사(GOMS) 데이터를 활용하여 기술통계분석, 분산분석, 위계적 다중회귀분석하였다.
이 연구의 주요 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 휴학경험 유무와 휴학횟수는 대학등록금 조달 방식별로 유의미한 차이를 보였다. 둘째, 대학특성, 개인특성, 대학생활, 대학만족도의 전체 요인의 영향력은 ‘학자금’ 방식과 ‘본인’ 방식의 휴학경험 유무와 ‘본인’ 방식과 ‘장학금’ 방식의 휴학경험 횟수에서 크게 나타난 반면, ‘부모’ 방식의 휴학경험에는 크지 않았다. 셋째, 휴학을 결정하고 반복할 때 ‘부모’ 방식과 ‘장학금’ 방식은 다양한 요인의 영향을 받는 반면, ‘학자금대출’ 방식과 ‘본인’ 방식은 대학생활 요인에 영향을 받는 것으로 분석되었다. 넷째, ‘부모’ 방식의 휴학경험은 전공계열, 입학방식, 전공만족도에, ‘장학금’ 방식의 휴학경험은 대학유형, 입학유형, 졸업평점에 영향을 크게 받는 특징이 도출되었다. 이러한 연구결과를 토대로 대학의 휴학 관리 차원에 시사점을 논의하였다.

영어초록

This study examines the differences in factors and their influences on the experience of a stop-out according to the method of financing college tuition. This study analyzes the impact of stop-out factors and stop-out factors by college tuition funding way. The study grouped the college tuition procurement way into ‘parents-funding’, ‘scholarships-funding’ ‘student loans-funding’, ‘self-funding’ and divided the factors of leave of absence into personal characteristics, college characteristics, college life, and college satisfaction. The analytical data of this study is an analysis of the 2021 GOMS data of the Korea Employment Information Institute, conducted descriptive statistical analysis, variance analysis, and hierarchical multiple regression analysis. The main analysis results of the study are as follows: First, the number of stop-out experiences and stop-out experiences according to the college tuition procurement method was analyzed as having a statistically significant difference. Second, while the factors of personal characteristics, university characteristics, university life, and university satisfaction had a great influence on the presence or absence of stop-out experiences in the ‘scholarship-funding’ and ‘self-funding’ ways, and the number of stop-out experiences in the ‘self-funding’ and ‘scholarship-funding’ ways, the ‘parents-funding’ way of stop-out experience was not very influential. Third, when determining and repeating the stop-out experience, the 'parents-funding' and 'scholarship-funding' ways are influenced by a variety of factors, while the ‘loan-funding’ and ‘self-funding’ ways are commonly influenced by factors in college life. Fourth, the stop-out experience of ‘parents-funding’ way was greatly affected by the satisfaction of the major, the admission method, and the satisfaction of the major, and the ‘scholarship-funding’ way of stop-out experience was greatly affected by the college type, admission type, and graduation rating. Based on these findings, the implications for the management of university leave were discussed.
